Avalon’s Dress & Cake Stand |
The last few pictures are from Waverly & Avalon’s half-birthday we celebrated before my brother went back to Colorado last week. If you’ve been following us long enough, you know that we have celebrated Waverly’s since she was six months, because why not?! 🙂 With the girls birthdays being less then two months apart, we decided to start a tradition of celebrating theirs together, along with my sister’s real birthday (she opted not to wear a matching crown for the photo!). It was so much fun, and also the best way to spend time with my brother before he headed back across the country. We were definitely spoiled having him around again and are missing him already!!
I also wanted to share a total game-changer kind of present my parents got us for Christmas, a double stroller!!!! It’s seriously changed my life.

We had previously decided that we really didn’t need one since Waverly had never really liked a stroller anyways, but I have quickly learned over the past six months that traveling without one (& two kids) is tough. Really tough, especially since Waverly has recently decided that she likes strollers, because her sister does. 🙂 We really love this one, it’s affordable but perfect for what we needed, lots of storage space & side-by-side seating for the girls. They are so sweet in it and it’s totally made my day to day SO much easier, I definitely recommend it! 🙂
A couple other favorites, the new ballet line at Gap is too cute for little ladies, this cardigan is amazing, as well as this dress. And I got this pillow recently, (& maybe this one too), both are so cute for the price! As usual, Target is killing it right now and I love it and hate it all at the same time.
HAPPY weekend! XO
Those two in the sink together is priceless! Looks like they had a lovely winter break together!!
I'm going to remember the stroller recommendation…I wasn't going to get a double this time around because Sadie will turn 4 a month after her sister is born and I sort of figured she was big enough to not need one BUT I hadn't thought about the fact that she's going to want to ride in one too, because her baby sister will. Girlfriend is already driving us crazy trying to act like a baby and asking if babies can do this or that (like "can babies eat cheese curls?" or "do babies need to wear coats to go outside?") allllll day long…Ha! All that to say, I bet a double stroller will be a game changer for us too, plus Sadie would love a side-by-side even, even though I always thought I would hate that style. Is it hard to maneuver around because of the width?
Blogging breaks are needed sometimes. Love all your pictures, you really capture such sweet moments of sisters, LOVE IT!
I'm pretty sure Gap is going to put me in debt.
Okay the picture of the girls taking a bath in the sink and on the table eating their half birthday cake are just priceless! You guys had so much fun over break and well deserved! HAve a great weekend!
Total cuties!! I hate you because we are on a TOTAL spending freeze, and I hadn't even seen GAP's new line. (Isn't that crazy…I usually stalk their website!) LOVE that ballet dress…I want one in every size for L! Happy Weekend! xo
I always take a blogging break at the ed of the year it's a good way to recharge. Those sink photos are TOO sweet (and I am seriously impressed by how empty your Boon drying rack is! Mine always has a TON of crap in it. I have been trying to avoid the Gap but looks like that will have to end (it never ends) loving all their new stuff!
The sink picture might be one of my favorites of yours EVER! So darling! And don't you love how the big ones change their minds about things because the little ones are using them?!? Glad you're liking your new stroller!!!
I think celebrating half birthdays is so special! And tell me more about the girls mustard cardigans 🙂
I wish we had started celebrating Mason's half birthday when he was little! But hey, it's never too late to start celebrating something, right? His half birthday is coming in a week or two!
