What Waverly Wore: Christmas Edition

THANK YOU to everyone who entered our holiday giveaway last week!  Congrats to our three lucky winners, Stephanie, Amy & Trina. 🙂  You will all recieve an email today with details on which prize you won & how to get your festive little goodies!!

In other news, it is EXACTLY one week until Christmas!  As excited as I am for the big day, I really would like to request another week.  For one, I feel like I have one-million checks to complete off the Christmas to-do list & not nearly enough time to do it.  The holiday season was WAY easier before I became a mom, a wife & a home-owner who lost my mind & agreed to host Christmas dinner.  I now totally get why this wonderful time of year can also be considered the most stressful!  Where are the days when my biggest thought was what Santa would bring me?!! 🙂

Yet at the end of the day, this also is the MOST fun I have ever had & I don’t want any of this fun festiveness to end so soon!  All because of the sweetest little Christmas miracle, Miss Waverly Maye.

Dress No Longer Available, Similar Here

We have been having the BEST time & are still packing in as much holiday goodness that we possibly can.  Last weekend, we started off with Waverly’s class party at MyGym.  We dressed in theme colors & I can’t help but love this whole ensemble to pieces, almost as much as the little lady in it.  The combination of the plaid checks and girly bows & necklace, definitely one of my alll-time faves!

My entire family came to watch Waverly party like a rock star!  Even though she is younger than most of the other kids, she hangs like the best of them & definitely LOVES our MyGym time.  If you have one in your area, I totally recomend it, the price is a little high but more than worth it for the fun & social interaction they get.

Over the weekend, we also took the trip to Bass Pro Shops because naturally, we had to fit in one last date with Santa before he leaves on his sleigh!

Headband

After our tour of holiday activities in our city, this place is definitely the best.  Instead of waiting in the longest line ever with other parents & kids who are happily in the holiday spirit (kidding), Bass Pro Shops gives you a card with a time slot & you walk up right at your time.

Waverly Maye had a blast & was the happiest little Christmas child … until her date with Santa.  This time, mommy & her beloved snack cup had to step in for extra positive reinforcement.

For the record, this was definitely our final date with Santa for the 2013 holiday season.  I’m hoping I didn’t scar my child for life & that at some point, she will see that he really is a jolly man. 🙂

Other recent holiday highlights include gingerbread-house making, sugar cookie baking & a trip to help my parents pick out their tree!!!  And of course, my mad dash to complete our Christmas cards & get them in the mail before it’s 2014.  Tis’ the season, FA-LA-LA!!!!!!  We hope you are having a good one!

XOXO

I agree girl, Christmas was so much easier when I was kid less and didn't have a house to decorate! But I wouldn't change it for the world. This year flew by and I didn't even get a chance to send out of Christmas cards:( love the plaid shorts on baby girl! and the gold headband..gahh! Adorable!

Bass Pro Shops sounds like they know what they are doing with the no line! I'm dreading the line for Santa this weekend… Waverly is so cute in plaid! That's my favourite.
