We made the best of our weekend though, lots of time spent inside playing with dolls, blocks & reading Waverly’s favorite books. Chili on the stove, college football, and a baby shower date for me and the littlest lady. Some time spent on the ipad watching Peppa Pig and those crazy toy videos on you tube (tell me someone else’s kid loves those!). And luckily, a few trips outside between rain showers to cure some cabin fever, including one with a stop at the Starbucks drive-through to get treats for everyone.

And now, to tackle another Monday! Wish us luck, Waverly’s preschool mornings haven’t gone quite as smoothly the past couple weeks. She pretty much cries from the time we wake her up & tell her it’s a school day until the time we get there, all the way to her room and then really gets the bucket tears going when we get to her class. In Waverly’s defense, every single kid in the class is crying with her (poor teacher, bless her), and I think she feeds off of it, especially since when we come to pick her up she is always happy and super excited to show me everything in her bookbag that she did that day. Drama queen, I have no idea where she gets it from.
PS – Waverly’s first dress above is one of my favorites, the print is the cutest and it has a really cute back as well. You can find it here, unfortunately I couldn’t find it in grown-up size. 😉 Also, if you haven’t already seen, maybe the greatest PSA ever, kid Hunter boots (like the ones Waverly are wearing in the top pictures) are on sale right now for 25% off. They hardly ever go on sale and we love ours so, so much, they are definitely a great buy!
Ugh, we've had constant rain here too and I'm so over it. My plants need no more water. It's supposed to get nice again starting today. Finally! Avalon in that little hot is so cute and Waverly's hunter boots are the best. She's more stylish than me. 🙂
Oh man, I know y'all were hit much worse then us with the rain, but egads, it has been soooo drizzly recently. We thankfully have some sun today, I hope you get some soon. Glad you were able to enjoy the chilly weekend, I know many a kid that LOVES those toy videos, insane right? We had homemade chili this weekend too, with a big side of football. Hope you dry out soon! <3
So many cute photos from your weekend! I love Avalons little beanie hat–the cuteness! Glad you guys survived the wet weekend!
Those girlies are definitely stylish! They must get it from their Momma 😉 So sweet, and I adore that photo of them hugging. Melts my heart.
I'm with you…no more rain! We haven't been able to enjoy the cool mornings when everything is soaked each morning.
Ah, we are on a "spending freeze" during October, otherwise those boots would be bought. 🙁 #firstworldproblems. I love how sweet they are together, even after being stuck inside for so long!! Don't drop offs kill you when they cry? I always know that Cam will have fun and not want to leave when I pick him up, but I still hate it!! PS Are you talking about those easter egg toy videos? Cam will watch them open easter eggs for hours!!! (Not really, but it feels like it sometimes!) Have a great Monday!! xo
Glad you guys were able to get outside for a bit! I can't even imagine having all that rain! Hope the sun shines soon!
Yay for good weather in the future though! And yes, noah loves those YouTube videos too! Noah's been going through a "no school" phase too. Thankfully no tears but every school morning he says no school or mama stay but is excited about it when I pick him up and says he wants to go back. Who knows!
We did the fourth day of drop off with Reed this morning (he only goes on Mondays for now) and it was SO dramatic. They had to literally peel him from my body. It makes me feel so bad. Why can't they be sensitive to our mama hearts and walk in with a smile??
We had to miss dance class this week because of a stomach bug, and it was definitely heartbreaking! Sounds like you guys had a great low-key weekend, but cheers to better weather and pumpkins on the way!!! 🙂
I hope the weather improves soon over there and that mister joaquin passes with no more damage!
So sorry to hear preschool drop off isn't going well! Kids definitely feed off each other. Maybe some festive Halloween fun at school will have her excited soon!
Oh my goodness, I may need to check out those rain boots! We've never ever needed them before (hello drought) but we're supposed to get an El Nino this year and I have no idea what to wear on my feet let alone Mason's feet.
YAY for the pumpkin patch!! Hope the rain lets up!
Waverly looks so darling and happy playing in that puddle! The picture of both the kiddos with the pup is too sweet. Hope things are getting a little bit more dry there!
Your family is just the sweetest, cutest sight ever! I hope the rain lets up for you 🙂

Waverly's boots are too stinking cute. I didn't evn know they made that style for tiny people- love! That pic of her hugging Avalon is adorable. Seeing your beach pic reminded me, you're in Virginia Beach right?! We are guaranteed to have some friends in common in the area, it's too small of a world not to!
