Waverly Maye’s second birthday is two weeks from tomorrow, her special day falls on a Saturday this year & I cannot wait to see her face when all the special people in her life come over to celebrate her! We decided to go with a “gold” theme, partly because my obsession with anything gold continues. Yet mostly because we are planning to start her big girl room after her birthday (with LOTS of gold!), & I always like the idea of reusing some of the decor. I found the perfect dress for her party a little while back, it has the prettiest gold sequins with pink accents so we ended up adding splashes of pink, too. 🙂
I really am trying not to go overboard, we are so busy with the house & I do know that she won’t remember much from this birthday. Yet the party planner in me can’t resist at least some festiveness, plus with such big families on both sides our “small” parties always end up not so small. A good problem to have.
Since gold is everywhere right now, I’ve had no problem finding enough decor to celebrate, & then some. 😉 For food, we decided to order a couple large subs & then some of Waverly’s favorite foods – edamame, fries, goldfish, & ice cream. Probably random, but I know she will be happy! I also plan to have bubbles & balloons, two of Waverly’s favorite things. Yet ultimately, I know just having everyone there is going to excite her alone! I obviously loved celebrating her first birthday, but I might just be looking forward to this one even more since she really does understand so much more. I really cannot wait. 🙂
Lastly, one of my favorite details of any party is the invite! Tiny Prints was so sweet to work with us on making my “gold” vision come to life, we used this template & I cannot tell you how much I love it! Their products are always such high quality & truly, I am always blown away by anything I get from them.
For Waverly’s outfit for the invite, she wore this bloomers & headband set from Sugarplum Lane. It is TOO cute, I know she will get lots of use out of both for months to come! If you have never checked out their website, you definitely should, there is cute stuff for both little ladies & gents!

Beautiful ideas !! We are going the gold and pink color route for our littles 3rd birthday party in August too such a great color palette. And you'd be surprised as to how much the kiddos will remember. My little one still talks about her 2nd birthday party 🙂

Love everything! Looks like it will be perfect! I can't believe Charli will be 2 in exactly one week from tomorrow! I have been planning her 2nd birthday since the day after she turned 1 (true story) 😉 haha! But with everything that has gone on this pregnancy and with bed rest still lurking we felt it best to not have a birthday party and it is KILLING the party planner in me… We have some family coming in town and will celebrate with them, but are keeping it very small, Steven didn't even let me print out her invitations! haha! Oh well! 🙂
