Waverly Maye’s First Day of Pre-K

Well, it’s officially official, we are in PRE-K y’all!  And SO excited about it!  I’m happy to report that this week has been far less emotional or teary than last year, which I’m sure is just giving me some grace since kindergarten is only ONE year away.  When for the record –  I’m sure to be drowning in a sea of mimosas everyday for a week.
Waverly is returning to her same preschool, the same room, her old teacher is now her assistant, and most of her best little girlfriends are still in her class.  She loved it so much last year, so she’s been counting down to this week pretty much all summer.  The closer we have gotten the more serious she becomes about her “homework”, packing her backpack, and I’m convinced she would give up candy for a week (which is a BIG deal), if I would let her ride the yellow school bus.
Dress, Bag, Shoes
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that she that she was quite unhappy with my outfit choice and wanted a tutu and bikini instead.  Shocker.  She is so opinionated about her clothes lately, I have absolutely no idea where she gets it from … 🙂
Lastly, she has a little about me assignment due tomorrow, so I asked her some questions to put on her collage, and thought I would share here.  Can’t wait to look back on these one day!
What are some of your favorite things?  Avalon
What is your favorite color?  Gold & Silver
What is your favorite food?  Spaghetti & Meatballs
What is your favorite show?  Max & Ruby/Ben & Holly
What is your favorite place?  Target
And she added at the end – I also love Ipads, dogs, and icees.  From Target.
I have loved seeing all the other cute back to school photos this week, if you had a babe in school this year, I hope they (and you!) have had a wonderful start!
XO

She looks absolutely adorable! Love all the back to school photos I've seen. Can't believe the summer is over, but so pumped for fall. I'm so glad she hasn't had the tough time she did last year. Go Waverly!

Waverly looks SO grown up in the second photo. It's like a glimpse of her in 10 years!
Her favorite color: gold and silver – HA! Me too, little lady. Me. Too. And how sweet that Avalon is her favorite thing.

Well, for what it's worth, I love her outfit!!! Arden said her favorite place was Target in a questionnaire too. I guess we're doing something right?!? 😉

Aww! Love this and how excited that sweet girl was. Of course she looked adorable on her first day. I have no doubts that she was the most stylish Pre-K student (even if it wasn’t her outfit of choice)! Precious Waverly! Mason wants to ride the bus so bad. I may have told him it doesn’t pick up first graders in our neighborhood. It’s not a complete lie because Mason is the only first grader in our neighborhood. I just can’t let go that much and let him ride the bus. It gives me major anxiety! I don’t know when (if) I will get over that!

Goodness, she is adorable!! I love her outfit…like, I would wear it! And her backpack is the best part! So stinkin' cute! I can't believe our firstborns are only a year from kindergarten (if we send Brantley). It's so exciting and sad all bundled up in one! I hope Waverly has a great year at Pre-K!
