Valentines Weekend

We hope that everyone had a weekend full of love, family, & sweet treats!  I could not get enough of looking at all of your little ones in their adorable, festive outfits.  We obviously dressed in theme our way, my littlest Valentine rocked (two) red & black combos that I could not get enough of, just LOVE her too much!!

Waverly Maye spent the early part of the day with my mom while my husband & I were at work.  If I’m honest, it’s days like these that make the whole working mom thing really hard.  Every single part of my mama heart wanted to be close to my girl all day long.  I hated that I wasn’t there to see her come down to the red balloons I left all over the floor, to make her heart-shaped pancakes, or for a special Valentines Day treat after lunch.  TOTAL bummer.  Yet I’m determined to make the best of it, even if that means planning ahead & of course, dressing alike so at least we are together all day in our hearts. 😉

During our afternoon together, my mini-Valentine & I did some last-minute shopping for daddy, played with new holiday goodies & finished off the early evening by decorating sugar cookies!!  So many of our favorite things rolled into just a couple hours … we were rushed (& Waverly was more into eating the cookies than decorating them, plus she pulled more pages out of her new books than that are now left in them) … but memories were made with my sweet, sweet girl.

With my snow make-up day on Saturday (thanks for your support & for feeling the pain for me), we ended our night with a low key, heart-shaped pizza dinner for three right at home.  Definitely different from Valetines past, but I felt more love than ever.  To top off it off, we actually even made it out of the house Saturday night, my husband & I managed to have our own dinner out which is totally rare these days.  AND we fit in those heart-shaped pancakes, just not exactly on the official morning of the holiday. I’ll take what I can get!! 😉
Overall, with the exeption of a Saturday work day, the sweetest weekend with my sweets.

Wishing you a wonderful week!!  Looking forward to the #littlethinglinkup Week 4 on Wednesday, remember to continue to use the hash tag whenever you feel the need to on Instagram & of course, to join in on the fun Wednesday.  THANKS again for all the support.
XOXO

She is just the cutest!!!! Sounds like you guys had a great weekend. And it is hard on holidays and random days every once and a while being a working mom and trying to "do it all". But I've kept the perspective as long as my little man knows how much I love him (which I cannot tell him enough!) the times that we do get to spend together are that much more special. Plus what a great example of a hard working mama + awesome blogger you are showing her!!! Rockstar mom!!!

That headband and those leggings!! I can't stand it! I know how you feel with having to work instead of being with the babe. It makes those times together even more special!
