Leave it to VB weather to completely confuse us yet again this year. Just when I had finished packing away all of our summer clothes & pulled out the layers for our fall fashions, mother nature clearly had different plans. It was so hot out this weekend it might as well have been the middle of August with Waverly Maye & I stripped down to our bikinis eating popsicles.
Yet since I am totally not willing to accept this crazy summertime heat, I did my best to pretend & put Waverly in her best fall dresses (& matching necklaces).
I think she was OK with it.
Words really can’t explain how much I love a good Gap dress. Each season, they come out with the CUTEST girl pieces & the dresses always seem to be my favorite. They are the perfect mix of trendy & classic, and are usually true to size & super comfy.
This polka dot option (no longer available, similar
here) is light enough for the heat or when the weather decides to actually cool down again, can be layered with a cardigan or tights.
Yet on this 80+ October Saturday, Waverly’s ensemble was short-lived. The knit headband I paired it with to make some sort of attempt to pretend like it was Fall lasted two seconds before her hair was wet from sweat & she was clearly uncomfortable.
*Chalk that one up as less than a win & try it again soon.

And because my hubby & I had a rare child-free outing this Saturday for an engagement party, I thought I would join in on the fun, too! I felt more than ridiculous taking pictures, but was so happy with this H&M dress for $16.00 & wanted to share (no longer available but they do have
online now!). Like Waverly Maye, I also tried to pretend like it was cool enough for fall clothes by pairing it with these
booties.
We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend & as always, wanted to thank
Kelly,
Megan &
Lindsey for hosting this weekly link-up. 🙂

That scarf is adorable and so is she!!! I'm so impressed that she keeps it on, my kids would have ripped it off.
I totally get the being able to calm the baby down by going outside! That was my go to with Lucy, and still is. : )
I love infinity scarves on toddlers! Trying to decide if my preppy little boy can pull it off….
that headband. I love it!
That last outfit is so sweet. Love the plaid. Aria was the same way about going outside, we would walk outside constantly when she was little. And, then it stopped when the miserable FL summer hit, and we are just getting back out there again. She loves it!
She is a doll! Love her trendy outfits.
You mentioned on my blog (thanks for stopping by :)) that you liked Easton's name and I am hear to tell you that I LOVE your daughter's name! I think it's lovely! And she is quite the fashionista 🙂
Love the marron and gold together! Love. Waverly HAS to be the best dressed toddler in all of the world! Seriously. Too cute! Mason has always been the same way, a big fan of the outdoors. And I used to take him outside when he was fussy too! Thank God for the Great Outdoors!! Love the leaf pictures!!
I love her little outfits she is so super adorable!
This post makes me want a girl! Cuteness overload!
