Trendy Tot Tuesday: Menswear Inspired

It’s Tuesday and time to talk fashion again.  Obviously, I’m always excited about that and thankful to Megan, Kelly, and Lindsey for this link-up.
I am a total girl momma.  To a fault.  While I certainly hope to have a little man one day, I pretty much exploded with joy when we cut into a pink cake at our gender reveal party.  Wthin 12 hours of that party, I could or could not have been found at the mall with a cart full of pink, bows, headbands, and leopard print.
So obviously, I adore all things girl.  I love “girl” shopping, both for clothes and toys.  I appreciate the fact that most stores have a baby girl section that pretty much doubles the size of the boys.  And while it totally gets me in trouble, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
However, with all that being said … I must admit that lately on our “Fashion Fridays” (Fridays at the mall), we have expanded our search to the boy section.  And boy mommas, there is some cute stuff out there.  So much so, that Waverly has been rocking some boy pieces lately.

Even though we hardly need MORE options to spend money on, I have been more than happy with the latest additions to Waverly’s wardrobe.  And it only helps that menswear inspired pieces are totally on the must-have list for this Spring.  You are SO on trend, Waverly Maye. 🙂

That hat! Aghhh! Love! And, of course she pulls it off! I think I'll have to check out the boy section from now on… my husband will appreciate it! Haha!

Haha – they totaly appreciate it, since it may be the only chance in the boys section that they get! 🙂

Such a cutie pants! Does she leave her hats and headbands on? Sadie would wear anything, even sunglasses, until she hit about 8 months. At that point, she started ripping sunglasses off as fast as you could put them on and then last week she started boycotting headbands. We've been having very serious discussions about this since she's my #1 Etsy shop model…..bahahaha

Haha – it's funny that you say this … because Waverly has been the EXACT same way. She would wear anything, until a couple of weeks ago. It really depends on how big it is, but she definitely has been pulling some off lately. I will tell her "no, no" – and I do think she understands that now. I will need to have conversations with her too, because I would be devastated if that was the end of hair acccesories! Haha!

Oh I feel bad doing this too, but totally browse the boys section for my little girl too. I feel the boys' mama's scowling at me thinking I have allllllll the girls things to look at and now "I'm swimming in her wading pool too"…. (SATC reference that totally applies to baby shopping!!). I think Waverly would look adorable in anything so that makes it easier!!!! xx
