I cannot even believe Easter is less than one week away!!  This year will look a lot different for us, Saturday is our last day in our current home and the girls & I will be moving in with my parents for a few weeks while my husband stays at our new house for some renovations.  We had to let go of some of our favorite traditions (like our annual Easter Egg Hunt which made me so sad!!), but keep reminding ourselves of how much it will be worth it when we are hunting in our NEW HOME next year!!

My grandparents were so sweet to dye eggs with the girls while I was packing last weekend, I made a rather pathetic attempt at Easter cookies yesterday when I realized all our cookie cutters were packed and already in storage, and also worth noting, we have walked by the Easter bunny at the mall at least three times the past few weeks and waved from a far distance, both my five & two year old are still pretty terrified of him.  We cannot wait to celebrate this weekend with a couple egg hunts and brunch with our families, feeling very thankful that we live near them so even if we don’t currently have a house to go to, we have plenty of places that still feel like it!

Also sharing the girls Easter baskets, I plan to add some bath bombs, spring-colored chalk, and stickers before the bunny makes his way to my parents house Sunday morning.  With the exception of the book, both girls baskets are identical (even all the colors!), I learned that lesson the hard way last year!

Sending love from our family to yours during this special holiday! XO

I can’t even believe that October is over halfway over, where is the time going?!  As much as I’m ready to break out all the Christmas things, we are loving this time of year so dang much!!  Last weekend the weather finally cooled down, and in between some rainstorms, we were able to get out and explore and it finally felt like FALL!  Sharing five favorites for the season, I’m trying to hold out for all the holiday sales but goodness it is hard.
1.  I live in my green jacket each fall, and winter and spring, this one at Old Navy is so affordable and would go with everything.
2.  I got these boots for the girls last weekend, the pink lace details are just the sweetest and my favorite part!  I’m also eyeing these over the knee boots (for me!), love the color and they are currently 20% off.
3.  So much cuteness at Anthro right now, I just want to cuddle up in this throw forever!!  I’m also loving these bowls from their collab with Liberty of London.
4.  I can never get enough pairs of overalls, these are so good and perfect year round!!
5.  I recently teamed up with Kids Atelier on an outfit for each of the girls, and I love what they sent over!  Both pieces have the sweetest floral print, which makes them super versatile for now with boots & tights and then again in the spring with sandals.

The last picture from a little outing over the weekend, Avalon was definitely scooping off ice cream off the ground.  Choose your battles.
And happy Tuesday!!! XO

Spring has sprung and there is so much to love out there right now!!!!  I am always first drawn to everything bohemian, light and airy year round, so I think spring might just be my favorite since it lends itself so well to all of that.  Sharing some current fashion finds today, both for mama, babe, and the home!

I pretty much live in jean shorts and shirts all spring & summer, so I’ve been eyeing a few tops to add to my closet!  I love this one, which is majorly on sale and so versatile.  Also so excited about these, I’ve been wearing the short-sleeve version all winter with jeans, so comfy and the best colors!

I just got this dress for Waverly, the perfect colors for spring!  Also my favorite shoes EVER for the girls are back, these clogs from Old Navy!!!!  They are seriously so good, I found them in-store a few weeks back and bought them in enough sizes that the girls can wear them for the next couple of years. 😉

Obsessed with this rug from Land of the Nod for the girls playroom.  It’s pricey, but Waverly’s is from there and it’s easily my favorite rug we have ever had.

I just got another watch from Daniel Wellington, I love it so much!!!!  This will be my third, which might sound crazy, but I literally wear one every single day.  I typically don’t wear too much jewelry other than that, and it’s the perfect piece to wear something without feeling like you are wearing too much.

This maxi is the perfect cover up to wear all summer long, perfect for running after kids at the beach or waterpark!

Kids hunter boots are on sale!!!!!!  I picked these up for the girls so quickly, we love them and wear them constantly and these are such a good price!

We recently got this throw from Little Giraffe, and it is amazing.  So beautiful and the girls love cuddling with it, it’s quickly become our favorite throw at the house!

This book, I am dying to read it!  To be honest, I could not tell you the last book I read start to finish (or even magazine), tis’ the season of life I am in!  But I am determined to make time to read again and this would be the perfect start.

And lastly, our little ladies were so sweet tonight before bed.  Avalon’s been having a really hard time letting go of the day and going to bed, so tonight Waverly decided she would rock her.  Avalon literally laid on her while Waverly sang all the songs I always sing to them, goodness it was sweet.  Not all the moments are like that (and many are far from it), but those are the ones I will choose to hang on to.

Hope you are having the best week, friends!

Happy Friday Eve, friends!!!  Anyone else more ready for the end of the week than ever?  We randomly decided to pull out carpet and install hardwood floors in the one room we had without hardwood last weekend, and it’s turned into a much longer project than we anticipated (isn’t that the way it always works?!!).  I am pretty much the worst at dealing with house projects, I love the final product of course but the mess just stresses me out way more than it should.  And of course, watching me keep two kids out of one room in our downstairs because it’s a construction site could be it’s own reality show.  Hoping to finish this weekend and share pictures soon!!! 🙂  In the meantime, I thought a few favorites were in order, most of them warm weather appropriate, because we have spring on the brain over here!

1 – I am loving Target’s spring dresses right now SO MUCH!!!  They all look way more expensive than they are, this one is my favorite, it reminds me so much of one from Anthropologie.  Also, give me all the off-the-shoulder, all the time!

2 – Trolls is currently on repeat at our house, and I have to admit, I love it as much as my girls do!  Waverly & I saw it at the theater when it was out, and now Avalon asks for it just as much as she does.  The music is just so good!

3 – Tis’ the season for Easter baskets!!!!  I love, love, love rounding the girls up some fun things for Easter, a mix of some little things I know they will get excited about and a few things for the warmer weather.  I got this nightlight to go with the whole bunny theme, this new babylit book that releases later this month, and am thinking about a new pair of Hunter boots for Waverly since she has outgrown most of hers and is so obsessed with them!

4 – I hardly ever wear any shoes with height anymore, but I have been eyeing these wedges (a knock-off of the much more expensive version) for spring.  They would be so versatile and I think I might even be able to run after fast little toddlers in them!!!

5 – Sta Body recently sent me one of their bodysuits to try and I have been so happy with it!  The owner is a fellow mama who wanted to design something for the real woman, anyone who has ever given birth to a baby can appreciate that!  The link to the one I have been using is here, you will love it!  Even better, you can get 20% off one now through the 15th, using the code BRICKNER.

6 – I’m getting so excited for bathing suit shopping, mainly for the girls of course!!!  We always stock up on some from Gap & Old Navy during 40% off sales, this is one of my favorites for this season already!

7 – And lastly, I got a new pair of overalls and can’t wait for them to come in!  They look so comfy!  Hoping to get my fix from my own pair since I put some on Waverly the other day and she said, “Mom, these are blue, they are for BOYS”.  I’m pretty sure that will be the last time I convince her to ever wear them again.

Wishing you & yours a very happy Friday and weekend ahead!
XO

The first work week of 2017 is (almost) over, we made it, friends!!!  It was actually really nice to be back into a routine again, we all really do best that way and I always find that weekends are that much more exciting after a long week.  We are double excited about this weekend, SNOW is in the forecast and we are crossing our fingers that they actually got it right this time!  We’ve been doing snow dances non-stop and Waverly is begging to “make herself an ice queen”.  We really didn’t get much more than a dusting last year, so I would love to see both our little girls in the snow together this time around!

I thought I would share some things I have been loving lately, there’s nothing quite like curing your post-holiday blues with some new pretty things! 🙂  We have been replacing our reds & greens from Christmas with brights and pastels, it’s been so much fun to lighten up and has me all kinds of ready for spring.

This throw from Anthro is gorgeous, I can think of so many places that I would love to put it!!!  We recently got this quilt from there, I think I posted about it when we got it but haven’t shared how much we absolutely love it.  It is way more expensive than any of the comforters we have gotten before, but you can tell the difference so much!  It gets softer and even more beautiful with every wash, and already has held up to two kids jumping on it at least once a day.
My mom got me this book for Christmas, it’s specifically for moms, and basically you write one sentence at the end of each day.  I have loved this so far, it kind of goes along with choosing one positive part of each day no matter what, which I started doing a couple months back.  It really is amazing how doing this completely shifts your way of thinking, and helps remind you of how much goodness there is in this crazy season of life!  I really have a hard time picking just one sentence each night!
We are always looking to the next holiday over here, so Valentine’s Day brainstorming is under way!!!  I actually walked into Waverly bringing out the Valentine’s books in the playroom the other day, we have already been reading them each night!  I love these leggings, I got them for Waverly along with these tights for Avalon, and have been eyeing this countdown calendar, I know both girls would have so much fun with this!
And lastly, just a couple pictures to go along with the first!  We recently went ice skating, or actually Joe and Waverly went ice skating while the other half of the family watched, because Avalon was too little and I was the worst ever.  This was our second year in a row, Waverly had a really hard time last year (she got frustrated easily) but did much better this time around and it was precious!!!!  Also pictured, Avalon showing off her lips with a face stained from candy, how I will forever remember her from the holidays this year! 🙂

Wishing you a very warm, happy, fun-filled weekend!
