Last summer was obviously one of the best ever, we celebrated Waverly Maye turning one & I took advantage of all the extra time I got with my new baby girl. It felt like a second maternity leave, with just a little more mama confidence this time. 😉 I could not feel luckier to be able to do it again, Waverly is now old enough that we really can do so much more & we definitely plan on it! I have been spending the last few weeks daydreaming of all we have to look forward to & planning lots for us to get into, time seems to fly by so quickly & I don’t want anything to pass us by. I know what a special time this is & I really am so thankful.
We are getting season passes to both the zoo & our waterpark. It will be our second year at the waterpark, we ended up getting them last summer after discovering the beach & a baby who liked to eat sand didn’t really mix. They were our best idea ever, we spent at least a few days there each week & Waverly loved it. They have a whole kids area with shallow water, we would literally sit in it for hours on end. We took Waverly for the first time this season over the weekend, to say she loved it is definitely an understatement. I’m excited to share pictures soon. 🙂
We started swim lessons a couple of weeks ago at our recreation center, most of the kids were a little hesitant & held tight to their mamas. As usual, Waverly was the wild one in class, she kept yelling “YAY!!!!” during the hokey-pokey, trying to take off to swim laps on her own &, on several occasions, tried to get out of the pool so that she could jump in from the side. The lifeguard actually had to get off his stand at one point, I’m guessing that might be the first time he has ever had to do that. We are so in trouble.
Since it has warmed up, we have also spent lots of time at the pool, with the hose, & of course, the beach. I can’t wait to do this with Waverly all summer long!
