Strawberry Picking

We went on our annual trip to pick strawberries a couple of weeks back, this is forever one of my favorite parts of the year and I look forward to it so much!!!  The girls loved it, Waverly would have stayed all day if we could and even though Avalon doesn’t like strawberries (seriously – is she our kid?), she likes anything outdoors and especially doing anything her big sissy does, so you know, she loved it as well.  Our ultimate goal is to move somewhere in the country near a place just like this, I can’t think of anywhere more magical to raise a family and every time we drive out this way, we tell the girls that we work hard every day to be able to give them that one day (hopefully sooner rather than later!).

Waverly has always been obsessed with band-aids and now Avalon loves it too, little chunky legs with rain boots and a band-aid to top it off, not much better than that.

A couple of our past strawberry picking trips, this one when we were just a couple weeks from Avalon’s due date and this one from just like year.  Avalon wasn’t even one yet, so crazy!  Wishing you all the happiest weekend with your sweet loved ones! XO

PS – I posted about my newest earphones on my IG yesterday, I love them so much!!!  They are wireless and the sweetest shade of baby pink.  If you are in the market for some, I definitely recommend these!

Ashley, these pictures are gorgeous! I especially love that second one with Waverly and the strawberry! I'm always so jealous of the strawberry fields everywhere else since Utah doesn't seem to have them. But we do have our own patch in our backyard!

Strawberry Picking

Over the weekend, we took the girls strawberry picking, one of our favorite traditions of the year!!  Last time we went, I was 36 weeks pregnant, hot as hell, and dreaming of what bringing both our little ladies would be like.  And of course, it was way better than I ever imagined.  These kinds of memories are the absolute best, the ones that make all the craziness so very worth it.
Waverly’s Dress (Similar) – Avalon’s Shirt
We came home with buckets of strawberries, some crushed, and made a steak & salmon dinner with the yummiest strawberry shortcake for dessert.  We have had a crazy start to the new year with my new job & things are finally starting to settle down, this little family outing was exactly what we needed and I enjoyed every single minute.
Even the random gas station we had to make a pit stop at for an emergency toddler potty break AND the strawberry stains I have been cleaning ever since. 🙂
PS.  One for the memory books, because I’m seriously obsessed with everything Waverly Maye says lately.  On our drive she asked Avalon what she wanted for her birthday (from her), then of course answered for her, “oh, a horse, I’ll get that for you.  Or candy.  Which one?”  Because obviously they are exactly the same sort of thing.
PPS.  Kids hunter boots like the pair Waverly are wearing are on sale!!!  There are three options, these for toddler, little and big kid, and these or these for just little and big kid.  We LOVE Hunter boots, they are some of Waverly’s favorite shoes to wear and they just make everything extra cute.

The memories are the best, and the photos are just as good!! Some of my favorite summer photos come from the strawberry and blueberry fields! And, I can't believe it's strawberry-picking time already! Can't wait to be done with school and take the boys to do the same thing!!

So fun! I have scoured the internet for a Strawberry picking patch in our parts and there is nothing. So sad. I always love posts of others going to the patch, though. So, I will just live vicariously through your trip. Precious photos, as always.

Avalon's outfit is so perfect for this event! I cannot get enough of bonnets! And I'm always so jealous of strawberry picking this time of year. We don't have any fields in Utah!!!

This is absolutely adorable. Avalon in that little bonnet. "Picking" strawberries. I don't know how you stand those cuties! Love that Waverly asked and answered for her what she wanted for her birthday! A horse, that would be nice 😉
