Happy halfway through the week, hope you all had the best holiday yesterday! We did most of our celebrating over the weekend, which is something I always try to do when a holiday falls during the week so I feel like I don’t miss out on any festive fun with Waverly. She is at the best age for this sort of thing, holding conversations like a full-on little lady & understanding more by the minute, so I have been looking forward to all of these spring holidays for a while. We had two holiday breakfasts on both Saturday & Sunday, one with Waverly’s cousin and then a themed breakfast, all green fruits & lucky charm pancakes (do you think the fruit makes up for the excessive sugar overload?!).

The weather has been so perfect, we spent most of the day outside on Sunday, pushing all of Waverly’s strollers & playing with bubbles! It has been the absolute best for all of us, Waverly loves getting outside (understatement), & I have desperately needed to get active again after a long winter. Plus, those little legs, I have been dying to see them out again! π

Headband & Similar Boots |
Waverly & I were able to fit in some fun yesterday when I got off work, a walk to the park & some green cupcake baking! Overall, such a great holiday this year, no parades or green beer, but the weather definitely made up for it. π And now, the countdown begins to Easter, our last big holiday as a family of three! I’m looking forward to so much, we are hosting a egg hunt with some friends & their little ones and of course, will attempt to take Waverly to see the Easter bunny (though I’m thinking it will most likely be an epic fail like Santa a few months back).
My husband thought I was crazy when he saw I already started Waverly’s basket, I can blame it on the nesting instinct that kicked in months ago but really, it’s how I roll most of the time anyways. I get so excited for this sort of thing, few things makes me quite as happy as getting together some fun goodies that I know Waverly will love. So far, I picked up this book, chapstick (that I know will be her favorite), this white maxi dress from Old Navy, & some seasonal boom chicka pop.

I’m planning to add a few more goodies, a couple headbands for both girls, some stickers, & nail polish or play make-up. Any other ideas or suggestions, for Easter baskets or fun traditions?!
Wishing you a happy rest of the week!
XO
Awwwww, looks like such a fun St. Paddy's day. I love the sweet and festive pancakes. I can't wait to have a lil one to create such fun memories. I think it's fine that you are getting ready for Easter, you wanna get everything done while you have the energy, right?!?! :)! Have a great day!
I love easter so much! Easter baskets are my favorite. I got those chapsticks for Harper's too. She is all about "lipstick" right now. Also I can never, ever get over how precious Waverly is.
I love that you've already got some basket goodies ready! I have a list, but that is as far as it goes as of yet. And, yeah – fruit always cancels out any sugar consumed for breakfast! science.
I'm totally guilty of putting a basket together for my little lady already. It's my favorite holiday and I can't help myself. However, I completely dropped the ball for St. Patty's Day. Your pancakes are adorable!
The weather was glorious here recently too! We've been at the park as much as possible and it is fabulous. And seeing their little knees again!! The best!
Oh I've had stuff for Liam's basket for awhile now; nesting for sure! I scored some egg shaped bubbles & sidewalk chalk from the dollar section at Target
We didn't do anything fun for St. Patrick's Day, so I am loving your fun pancakes!:) I thought about dying some milk green, but just never got around to it. Maybe next year:) And so far, I've gotten exactly 2 things for Caleb's Easter basket. I need to get on that asap!
Great idea to celebrate over the weekend so then you donβt have to rush anything! Those breakfasts look delicious and her little outfit, so adorable!! Just having great weather can make the holiday great! Her easter basket is so cute; better to get those fun things out of the way early when they can still be fun and not rushed!
What a perfect weekend of celebrating! It sounds like you fit in a lot after work yesterday, too! So fun!
I am such a slacker this year and haven't even thought of Mia's Easter basket yet, yikes! I need to get rollin' on that! We got Mia fake/play make up for Valentines Day and she is still obsessed with it! I think that would be a huge hit for Waverly!
This looks so fantastic and I want you to make me that breakfast asap!
Love it all!!! I am just PRAYING for a least 50 degree weather and sun…. Please no snow for Easter… that would be a true let down! haha!
That dress and boots are too much! She's always stylin'! Thanks for the reminder about chapstick – Cam loves the egg shaped ones, so I have to remember to add those to his basket! I second the Easter Bunny….the thought didn't even cross my mind to take Cam since he freaked at Santa! Ha!
I've started working on Lawter's Easter basket too- however I'm missing the actual BASKET component!! Yours is so cute? Do you use the same one each year or switch it up? It's our first so I'm trying to decide if I want a long term plan or just go year to year!
Sounds like a fun weekend! I love Waverly's outfit and Easter basket! I've been filling Mila's Easter basket gradually over the past few weeks, so you're not the only one! And I'm not even nesting!
Let her paint a few small pots with easter/spring colors.. My mom always did this when I was little. Then, she would let me pick out whatever flowers I wanted at the store, and we would plant them together! Makes for a fun time (and adorable decor) outside.
Such a fun weekend!! Okay I need to go shopping and get Evan's basket ready!! Waverly's is too cute!!!
It's not too early to put together the Easter basket. I already put Elin's together this weekend. I posted all my finds on my post yesterday. π

Cute basket, still debating over here what to put in my kids baskets…what to pick, what to pick…looks like you had a fun weekend and can't wait to see how you decorate for the Easter hunt, you always do such a good job.
How fun!! I totally dropped the ball on St. Patricks Day, but I'm trying to round up some goodies for the girls for Easter!! Waverley is just as cute as ever!
The Chapstick is a brilliant idea… I'm alreDy almost done of Scarlett's basket too haha now I know what I want to pick up to complete it π
I'm jealous of your gorgeous weather! It snowed here today,.. But we are expecting spring temps again Friday (the weather is crazy here) haha
This weather is SO crazy – I can't keep up! Bring on the spring!
I've started Mason's Easter basket too… but mainly because I am afraid of procrastinating (like I normally do!) and having all the good stuff sold out. So I like to pick things up as I see them. He LOVED the boom chicka pop that you guys sent for Vlaentine's Day so I think I need to find some for his Easter basket!
That nesting instinct is TROUBLE (it's also amazing to be so on top of everything!). And I didn't think it was possible but I swear waverly is getting even cuter. That dress is TOTALLY her color. And her smile! I die.
Sugar overload? I love it!!!
Girl, I'm not even nesting and I started baskets about a month ago. I like to slowly buy things that I know they will love and use! Chapstick is a MUST in our baskets. My girls are obsessed!
I started Willows basket as well, I can't wait to give it to her and see the look on her face! Waverly's outfit is way too cute!! Such a sweetheart
