Well, we are on day THREE of no school over here, and loving every minute!!! It initially started snowing late Friday night after we went to bed, we woke up Saturday morning to a couple inches of snow, with flurries still coming down strong and no sign of it stopping anytime soon. Waverly was all kinds of excited, she set out everyone’s clothes and was talking a mile a minute, so we put breakfast on hold while we layered both girls up and took them out! Avalon was definitely a little more hesitant than her big sister, and it was absolutely freezing, but it was so magical to be able to see their little eyes light up with something so new & different. We really don’t get to see this sort of thing often, especially this much of it – by the end of the day, we had about eight inches! We’ve spent each day since going out to play in it at least a couple times, my husband bought a couple of sleds from a guy on Craig’s List and we have gotten a ton of use out of them. Inside, we have been passing the time with the girls new toys from Christmas, some movies, baking, and eating lots of snow cream. It’s almost felt like a second Christmas break, we are totally wishing for this to happen every year!

Hope you are staying warm your way! Happy halfway through the week!
XO
I love that Waverly was so excited and set out everyone’s clothes. That girl is wise beyond her years when it comes to fashion. Can she come dress me, please? A second Christmas break? Yes please! I love that for you guys. And how special to see Avalon experience snow for the first time. Those firsts (no matter how big or small) just pull at the heart strings! Adorable pictures. And those sleds are legit. So awesome!
We are taking P to the snow for the first time in a month to Lake Tahoe. I am so excited! And so curious as to weather she will love it or hate it?!
We are on day 3 too. Ha ha! The south is so funny to me still after 9 years of living here. But I get it since they don't have the equipment. Ready for Cam to go back on Friday. Whew!! Looks like you've been having a blast with the girls and they are so happy to be in the snow.
Everyone needs a second Christmas break! That's awesome. So glad you all have been enjoying the snow so much! We're supposed to get a big ice storm this weekend….we'll see whether that happens or not.
Such sweet pictures.
How magical for the girls to experience snow!!
Snow days are that much better when you're a teacher too! Playing in the snow is so fun! I love that you have an old school wood sled!
You have gotten so much snow this winter! And, while it sounds cold, it also looks like so much fun! So glad you and the ladies are getting this second winter break to enjoy!
