Our Week & School Styles

Happiest Friday, and the biggest thank you for your sweet comments on Waverly’s third birthday party!  I especially wanted to express my sincere appreciation since I have been so bad about replying to comments lately.  Life is obviously busier than ever, my overflowing in-box shows it, I always leave the emails in there meaning to get back to them later & somehow, I just never do.  Yet please know that I read them all, as well as so many blog posts that I mean to comment on and don’t get a chance to, I am so thankful for this community & all of you. 🙂
And our week!  All of us have been in slow motion after celebrating so hard last weekend, lots of long mornings in our jams & time spent in bed watching some of Waverly’s new DVDs.  Sister love continues, especially from Waverly, she is so obsessed with “her Avalon” that she literally can’t keep her hands off of her. 😉  For now, I think Avalon just thinks she is a little crazy, though something tells me that before long, Avalon will be chasing after her big sister wanting to do everything she does.  So in love with these sweet little ladies.
Avalon’s Gown
A few months before I had Avalon, our sitter who watches Waverly during the year offered to keep watching her on Tuesdays throughout the summer, so that I could have some time with just the baby & a day to get things done around the house without being outnumbered.  At first I was really against it, I am really bad about accepting help & would rather just do everything myself, but my husband talked me into it and I am so glad he did.  It’s been so nice to have some time to bond with my littlest, she is smiling more than ever & cooing these days, she is definitely a mama’s girl so far and I love it!
Also pictured, my sweet, sassy three-year old on our way out to a pool day, I’m still trying to figure out how this little lady was ever as small as her sister.
And lastly, is it acceptable to admit that I have my eye on all sorts of fall clothes & (maybe for the first time ever), am so ready for the cooler weather?!  I’m guessing it’s because fall activities are way more baby friendly than our current heat situation, but whatever the case, we are ready! 🙂  Waverly is starting preschool two days a week in September, she is so excited & so are we.  I know she will love it!  I got her a new bookbag (pictured below), and a couple new outfits, there is so much cute out there.  I rounded up some of my favorites below, including a couple adorable shirts for the little men, too!
Denim Vest, Plaid Dress, Jumpsuit, Pink Peplum Top, Backpack, Denim Shirt, Tribal Shirt
As always, I am loving all the denim options & also love the greys/pinks to pair with it.
Wishing you all a happy, happy first weekend in August!
PS – Congrats to Emily J. for winning the pair of glasses from Firmoo!  Please email me to get your prize!

The sister love is the sweetest. Seeing Waverly with her sister is the most adorable thing.
We are SO ready for Fall, too. Here, summer seems to last from April to mid-October, and lately it's been crazy hot and humid. While I love me the actual summer months (June, July, August), someone please pass me the boots and scarves. 🙂
    Have a great weekend!

The sister love is so so sweet! I love that Waverly has totally taken to her role as big sister and won't stop loving on Avalon. I mean, I'm sure it's a little overwhelming at times, but seriously, you can't be mad when someone loves someone 🙂
