Our Week & Favorites

What a week!!  We started out with a little Easter festiveness & ended celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, plus tried to fit in as much outside time as we could along the way.  Someone please tell me how it’s already time for all of this, because I am pretty sure we were just ringing in 2016 last week.
Right?
A couple things before I share way too many photos, which for the record are only a fraction of what I took this week.  One, that little smile of Avalon’s may just be the reason that I have one million babies.  That and how she loves peek-a-boo lately, how she claps her hands when we do, and even how she is copying everything big sister does (the good & the bad).  Two, which may just make me sound crazy for saying number one, the girls have been less than stellar sleepers lately & we are tired.  So tired.  Waverly is still up and ready to party every night until at least nine, which just so happens to be the same time frame that Avalon sleeps her best.  The rest of the night she has been restless, which is rare for her, she’s always been an amazing sleeper.  I blame the time change.

And three, pinterest.  Gave me one win & one loss this week.  The win, the whisk egg dying idea for kids, I found it a couple years back and it’s still working like a charm.  The loss, rainbow pancakes, which turned out ok but I’m just not sure they were worth the one million bowls I had out or the giant mess that resulted from them.  Isn’t that they way they often work?!
A few favorites!!!  One, these wedges are everything.  Just everything.  I love a good pair of wedges, they are so comfy but still so fun, and these would literally go with everything all spring and summer.  Two, girl mamas, two of my favorite pieces ever for baby girls are back at Gap for the spring.  These denim bloomers & this denim top.  Both are so versatile, Avalon has had them in every size so far and now I’m stocking up for next year!  And my absolute favorite, this dress!!!!  It reminds me of the one Lauren wore on The Bachelor After the Rose Monday night, so you know, that kind of seals the deal. 😉
Wishing you all a very happy weekend!

The cutest girls!! I wish I would wear fairy wings at work…I think I would get a lot more done! 🙂 Sleeping SUCKS right now!! I am so so so so tired! I'm glad we aren't the only ones struggling! And, I just went on a major shopping spree at GAP and their factory store. So many cute things! Louise's closet is FULL for summer and Cam has like 2 pairs of shorts. Oops!! Have a great weekend!!

The sleep situation sounds tough. Ours is always changing, but Finn has proven to be at least a slightly better sleeper than Liam so yay!

  6. March 18, 2016 / 7:13 pm

  7. March 18, 2016 / 10:01 pm

I have always wondered if the whisk trick worked for dying eggs. I will definitely be trying this going forward! And that lace dress is stunning!

Sweet Avalon's smile!!! Gosh she gives me baby fever with that sweet smile.
Oh and the Pinterest pancakes… pretty sure I made Seth do that last year or the year before for Mason and he hated me for a few days after that LOL.

Avalon's little grin is heart melting! And I've never seen the whisk for egg-dying. Genius!!! Have a great weekend, friend!

Our Week & Favorites

I’ve been on quite the blogging roll this week, four out of five days, that has to be some kind of personal record for me!  If not of all-time, definitely since becoming a mom of two, time just seems harder to come by these days. 😉  We have really had such a great week that I can’t help but share (because if I didn’t, then it didn’t really happen, right?!).

So all four of us are finally healthy AND the rain stayed has away for a while, so that in itself has been amaaaazing!  It’s crazy how much energy you have after being sick for a while.  I was totally in survival mode & hanging by a thread last week, so after that, it’s nice to remember that I actually do (sort of) have this mom of two thing figured out and obviously, that life with these two little ladies is just so, so good.

Waverly’s Boots
In other good news, Waverly Maye.  She went through a rough patch a few weeks ago – #threenager, we thought about giving her away to the gypsies – but finally, she seems to be turning a corner and it’s pretty much the best feeling ever.  We’ve started a sticker chart that we go though each night, I’m not sure if that’s what caused the change, or that she just figured out that life is so much better when you are good rather than a pain in the a–.  Either way, we are thrilled!  She has just been so much fun to be around lately, so sweet & so incredibly funny.  Last night she told us she just wouldn’t be able to clean up her toys because it would be “too difficult” (nice try!), that her (imaginary) best friend Gold has flown away on a helicopter, he is now replaced with “Goddie”, and my personal favorite, that all the boys in her class at school are “so gross”.

The girls & I went to pick up some pumpkins for the front porch this week, finally!  I took a million pictures because little kid and pumpkin pictures may just be my favorite thing ever, so please forgive me if this is the first set of many. 🙂  We had so much fun!

Before I sign off for the weekend, I wanted to share some favorite finds from this week!  I recently ordered this water bottle after reading about it on Erin’s blog, I have a weird collection of water bottles because I am ALWAYS trying to drink more water and it never happens.  This one is amazing, totally worth the money & I will never turn back!  Also, this duvet cover.  Obsessed!  I have wanted a new comforter for our bed and the tassels on this one are just perfection.

And lastly, just to prove that girlfriend is still very much a threenager.

Bows & Waverly’s Boots
Happy Friday!

Avalon's pouty face is SO cute! Glad to hear that Waverly is walking the straight and narrow line again and you resisted the urge to give her to the gypsies lol
Have a great weekend with those two cuties!

Some days I am looking for those gypsies too. A happy chart might be the ticket – geesh. How can somebody so tiny be such a pain? I'm really looking forward to the teen years…

  5. October 9, 2015 / 1:45 pm

I'm currently on hold with those gypsies. Can someone tell me exactly how long I have to deal with such drama and sass? If it's more than a few weeks, I'll screwed. I'm not made for threeanger life.

  6. October 9, 2015 / 1:51 pm

I would LOVE more information on the sticker chart you are using! We are in the throes of "threenager" with Beckett and are looking for any suggestions! She's so good for everyone else, so I know she has it in her, just must know all mommy and daddy's buttons to push!

The pumpkin pictures are so sweet, and their little outfits make me melt!

  10. October 9, 2015 / 3:38 pm

Oh no!! So sorry you were sick! Ugh, that's the worst!
I want to know more about this sticker chart! Mia is really freaking us out with all the attitude she gains the closer to 3 she gets. Ah!

  11. October 9, 2015 / 4:18 pm

Yeah, Abigail did the same. I thought we were going to have to ship her off to military school :p oof, it was rough. But yeah, turned a corner and things are mostly all better. Whew!!

I love having two girls. I'm so glad to see you do too! It's just so great 🙂

Haha the "fly" water bottle (if you follow Erin on Snapchat). I'm loving that duvet cover, white bedding is my favorite and those tassels are the best! Love all of the pumpkin photos, I'm glad Waverly seems to be turning a corner. Scarlett has good days and bad days but some days I want to give her away to the gypsies too, three year olds are hard.

Where are Waverly's boots from in the pic where she is wearing a giraffe sweatshirt and polka dot leggings? The brown ones?

  20. October 10, 2015 / 12:26 pm

Nevermind! Saw the link under Avalon's pic right after I asked!

  21. October 10, 2015 / 1:36 pm

I Love following you and your cute familiy! i just started blogging but already mentioned you as one of my favorites 🙂 Eileen

Haha, total threenager!!! 🙂 I am so glad the sticker chart is working….anything that helps, right? Have you tried the Hydro Flask? BEST water bottle ever. I've heard great thins about Swell, too, but I've already invested $40 into my water bottle, so I'll need to keep it a little longer before chaning. 🙂 LOVE that duvet cover!! Get it!
