Happy Friday + Happy HALLOWEEN EVE!!! Tomorrow will obviously look a little different than usual but we are still planning some of our favorite traditions, cookie decorating during the day, trick or treating (at least to a few houses!), and chili in the crock pot for dinner. It looks like the weather is going to get cold enough to feel like October + the rain is going to hold off, watching the excitement my girls have for Halloween is one of my favorite parts of the year and I cannot wait!!
This month was busy and had its ups + downs, Remie started preschool and then had to quarantine a couple weeks later right as the other girls got to finally go face to face — not at all what we had planned or hoped for, but we made it work and finally now, all four of us girls are officially in person at school! I am still constantly reminded of how resilient kids are, my girls wear masks all day at school and so many of the fun parts have changed or gone away for now, but they hardly mention it or complain. It feels good to be settling into some kind of routine and have some sort of a schedule again!
We made it to a few pumpkin patches the last couple of weeks, have decorated the house with all the bats + pumpkin things, and went on our annual trip to the Boo Zoo, eight years + counting. We have done a couple costumes before the actual costume, Waverly really wanted to a be a witch this year (and did not want to match with her little sisters on Halloween night), but was excited to dress up with them before Halloween. She knows there was no way I wasn’t going to make that happen at some point. 😉
Wishing you the happiest Halloween full of all the sweets + good memories! XO
