Our Green Weekend

Don’t let the red hair fool you.  We are not Irish.  Yet as previously posted, we aren’t going to let anything stop us from celebrating a holiday.  And we redheads especially love St. Patrick’s Day because green is one of our best colors to wear.  So for that reason, and again, because we love some festive fun … we decided to rock green on both Friday, Saturday, & Sunday of this holiday weekend.

Onsie from Zulily, Hat & Jeans from BabyGap, and Shoes from Old Navy.

For St. Patrick’s Day Eve, we made some festive chocolate-covered pretzels for our family & friends.  Waverly’s favorite part?  Sucking on them, of course.

On the official holiday, we figured our shamrock covered tutu was only appropriate.

Waverly’s Onsie: H&M, Jeans: Macy’s, Tutu: TJ Maxx, Shoes: Old Navy
My Shirt: Forever 21, Blazer: H&M
For breakfast, we decided to give our lovely leprechaun an extra something special  Her first pancake!  I have to give credit to my husband for making these yummy, green shamrock pancakes that Waverly Maye devoured.  Yep, the girl has a sweet tooth for sure.
Made with green food coloring & a cookie cutter from Amazon.
To make sure she felt as lucky as she makes us feel everyday, Waverly’s special surprise was the bib she is wearing above.  I ordered it from Etsy in honor of the Irish.

Unwrapping her shamrock surprise.

And to end our special day, I pulled back out the coins.  She was super excited.  I’m thinking these coins may extend past the holiday.

I hope everyone had a lucky little day like we did.  It’s time to get Easter ready, as it’s less than 2 weeks until that bunny arrives … who was on the planning commitee for that one?
