Our Easter

Hope you all had the very best Easter weekend with your sweet families!!  I’m so excited to share some pictures from our holiday, despite a few challenges, we had the sweetest Easter, having two little girls to celebrate with was truly twice the fun.

We ended up at urgent care with Avalon on Saturday, she spiked a really high fever & it turns out, one of her ears was badly infected.  This was her second ear infection in the last few weeks, we felt so bad for her, especially since she is such a happy baby regardless that it’s hard to tell when she is sick.  Thankfully the medicine worked quickly, she was still congested Easter morning but her temperature was back to normal and she was excited as ever to see her Easter treats.  Waverly was so sweet with her, helping show her everything the bunny brought her and being extra gentle and caring.

Side note, did anyone else’s toddler go to bed extra early Saturday night so that the Easter bunny would come?!  Waverly hadn’t been to bed that early in months, she was very serious about it & insisted she go straight to bed.  I’m trying to think of a way we can make this work in our favor other nights too?! 😉

We did bring the bunny bagels back out this year, and Waverly loved them more than ever!!!  She is really into “boys & girls” right now, so she loved that we had both.  Making food fun just keeps getting better and better the older she gets.

Our weather was pretty much horrible, rain for most of the day & way too cold for our Easter standards, but we made the most of it!  We snuck outside when we were able to and opted for an egg hunt inside rather than out at our brother & sister in-laws.  We hosted my side of the family for a delicious dinner and a second round of Easter baskets.  Avalon was extra snuggly and Waverly just loved every little part of celebrating.  When I finally put her down at the end of the night she said, “Mommy, bunny days are the best.  When is the next holiday?”.

And just for fun, a look back at last year’s Easter.  I can’t believe how much Waverly has grown or how much smaller I have gotten. 😉  Or how that was sweet little Avalon Elle in there.
Wishing you all a very happy week ahead! XO

The weather was yucky here too, but we still had a good time! It's always fun to spoil your kids on special days and holidays. I can't believe Easter is already over for another year. Loving all the cute touches you are so good to include for every holiday, Mama. Those bunny bagels are the cutest and your table decor is on point. Our Easter

We hope everyone had the happiest holiday weekend & a great start to this new week!!  I’m excited to finally share some pictures from our Easter Sunday, we had such a great time celebrating for the last time as a family of three!  As soon as we woke up that morning, we told Waverly the Easter bunny came & of course, she immediately responded with, “I don’t like him”.  We know. 😉  After finally convincing her that he had come & left (with treats for her), she agreed to come downstairs & loved what he left her!  She went through every single egg with so much excitement, read her new book to her babies, & then just as I thought, asked us to open every single chapstick while she rolled it on about twenty times in a row.  Then we had “bagel bunnies” for breakfast, a girl & a boy, both bunnies she actually liked. 🙂
Holidays are always crazy our way, we have two big sides of the family to see & it’s important to us to try to fit it all in, while trying to have time for just us, too.  We had two brunches, one with my in-laws & then one at my house with my side of the family, Waverly got to hunt for eggs again with her cousin & then spend time with all her grandparents, aunts, & uncles (one of her favorite things to do).  The weather could not have been better, we of course fit in a few pictures, I can’t get over what a little lady Waverly looks like in them or that we will have two girls (close to ages one & four!) in these pictures next year!

Even though we were all exhausted, we ended the day with a family walk to feed the ducks at the end of  our street & dinner outside on our porch.  Overall, another memorable holiday with our little & extended families, it’s bittersweet to see Easter go but we are super excited about what is to come over the next few months!! XO

What wonderful pictures. It sure looked like a lovely family day. My husband's family lives in Ohio and when we go home for holidays it's a lot of traveling around to make sure we see everyone. I wouldn't have it any other way, though. Seeing family is so important on holidays. 🙂

So much cuteness–lots of great pictures of memories to last a lifetime. You guys are such an adorable family!!! 🙂

Loving that you guys had to assure Waverly that the bunny had come AND gone before she was willing to check out what he'd left. She's like, "nope, nope, nope", lol!:) I bet it was just darling watching her putting on all her "lipstick" – such a girly girl. She'll have so much fun with a little sister. And, as usual, loving your Easter style, Mama! Your dress is super cute – I am dying for it to come back in stock soon so I can order it for our beach trip this summer. It's gorgeous, and for such a great price:) And of course, Waverly and your hubby look adorable as well!

  9. April 8, 2015 / 1:19 pm

"I don't like him!"… So classic! You both looked beautiful! And those bagel bunnies are adorable. I may have to make those just because since Liam is a little bagel monster!

  10. April 8, 2015 / 1:35 pm

She is seriously so cute and you look AMAZING!

  14. April 8, 2015 / 6:39 pm

What a perfect Easter day!! You fit in SO much!! Definitely the best day ever… luckily the Easter bunny didn't try to stick around and enjoy it with Waverly 😉 You girls look absolutely beautiful in these photos!

  15. April 8, 2015 / 9:07 pm

I cracked up at her saying she doesn't like him. Can't say I blame the girl!

Your dress is adorable!!! One and Four yr olds next yr?? ohhhh my my. so crazy to think about!

Her Easter dress is perfection and I love that you had to talk her into leaving her room. Aria isn't a fan of anything that visits at night…santa leprechauns or bunnies. She loves all the things that they do, she just does not want to talk about them visiting ha.

  18. April 10, 2015 / 2:47 pm

This is so cute – I need to save this for future reference bc bagel bunnies are now my new favorite thing! haha Too darn cute! Ya'll look fabulous!
