Nine Month Favorites

Some of my favorite blog posts to read are about the baby or kid things that other people love the most, if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the past few years, it’s that a good product can seriously be a life-changer.  We’ve grown to love so many things, there are just so many well-designed products out there (mostly my moms!), that have made parenting that much easier.  And cuter. 🙂
I thought I would share some of our favorites for the nine-month old age range, since that’s where we are at with Avalon.  Many of the things that she uses were passed down by big sister, but we’ve also found some new faves as well!
Most of Avalon’s toys were also of favorites of Waverly’s, but what we have found different is how much Avalon prefers teethers or just anything soft that she can put her mouth on.  She is into everything and will suck on anything she can find, so we’ve found it super important to keep so.many.teethers around.  I keep some in her room, in the playroom, downstairs, in the diaper bag, in the car … just everywhere.  She is not much into a pacifier, but likes to play with one so we use it more as a toy, and love paci clips so that we don’t risk losing it on a walk or Target aisle one day.
I didn’t take pictures of any food favorites, but mentioned before that for the most part, we have done baby-led weaning this time around.  Avalon eats most of what we do, just cut up in small pieces, and she loves it.  It’s made going out to eat or dinner time in general just so much easier for everyone.  She still eats pouches mixed with yogurt, as well as puffs or yogurt bites, but loves waffles, toast, and peas.
With the beautiful weather lately, I’ve realized how important a good playmat is.  I bring ours everywhere, the park, the beach, or even just to the backyard.  And of course, we love a good headband and literally couldn’t live without a good swaddle blanket.  Even though Avalon was never really into being swaddled, both girls still use swaddle blankets ALL the time.  We use them to sit on, to wipe up runny noses or dirty cheeks, or just to cuddle with.  There are so many fun ones out with the absolute cutest prints, they also make a fun decoration in their rooms!
And diapers.  I know all the other mamas can relate, finding a good diaper is essential, and we’ve certainly found ones that we like more than others.  We are currently using the Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers for Avalon, and they work so well.  They provide up to 12 hour protection, which is even more important as your babe grows since (fingers crossed!) they are sleeping in longer stretches at night.  The triple layer protection helps prevent leaks and therefore keeps our sweet babies dry.

I’m sure you will love them as much as we do, we are fully stocked with Huggies diapers in both our diaper bag & Avalon’s nursery.

You can find Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers at your local Kroger.  Shop at Kroger during the “Baby Me” event going on between 3/20/16 – 4/2/16 and spend $40 on participating baby items so you can receive a $10 off coupon good towards anything at Kroger, while supplies last!

I hope this post is helpful to any first time moms, moms who are looking for something new to love, or even to those in need of a fun gift for someone special who is expecting!  I would love to hear other favorites if you have them, hope you all had the most lovely weekend! XO

What blanket is that in your picture if you don't mind me asking? It looks like a thicker swaddle. I'm intrigued! Also what kind of play mat do you use? Both my girls are within a couple months of your girls so I love all the advice! Thanks!!!

Baby led weaning is awesome! I tried baby food with Emmy and she refused anything I gave her, so I went to baby led weaning and she was so much happier. 🙂

We have those blocks & Wyatt loves them! Anything he can, he puts in Hus mouth, which is the complete opposite of Cash.

Nine Month Favorites

As Waverly Maye gets more hyper-active everyday, life continues to change & so does our need for new products.  These days, I am convinced our entire house looks like a daycare.  We are constantly striving to keep our curious cutie entertained, and even our favorite finds are only effective for about ten minutes.  So thanks to glamma, amazon, & some of my favorite blogs … we have assembled quite the collection of items in an attempt to satisfy “Wild Waverly.” 🙂

1:  Playskool Poppin Park Elefun Busy Ball Popper – We got this because it was the #1 rated toy of 2012.  I can see why.  Even I am thouroughly entertained by this adorable elephant and the balls that pop out left & right.  Playing with it may even rival an episode of the Real Housewives. 🙂
2:  Fun Balls – Speaking of balls … these bright, colorful adorable balls are a total score.  Over the weekend, we covered a baby pool with them & that kept her busy for an entire 15 minutes.  Day to day, Waverly loves to hold one in each hand and to (obviously) suck on them.  Her favorites are the pink.  A total girl.
3:  Beaba Stackable Formula & Snack Container –  We love Beaba products and this one is no exception.  This is perfect for bringing a variety of snacks without them ending up in a crumbled mess all over the diaper bag.
4:  Baby Mum-Mum Biscuits – Waverly is now bored with Puffs and has moved on to these.  One pack of Mum-Mums does its job in holding her over during meal times while I am making her food – a complete neccesity since those moments can bring some major anxiety.  Plus this “three-teeth tot” gets a big kick out of biting down on these.
5:  Neat Solutions Table Toppers – We have the Tiny Diner placemat which does the exact same thing, but lately I prefer the disposable version.  They are smalll enough to pack in your diaper bag, which eliminates the need for you to carry another item in addition to the 20 rhat you already are.  While carrying the baby.
6:  Skip Hop Sprout Whale Cover – Even though we have about 400 bath toys, Waverly would rather just play with the faucet & drain in the bath tub.  For safety reasons, this is a must.  And it’s pretty cute.
In addition to these products, I could certainly include Waverly’s other favorites … any & all of our baskets full of household items, the vacuam cleaner, VCR, & of course, the dog.  Let’s face it, she would rather be occupied with any of those than the child-friendly toys we purchased for her.
Such is life, one day she won’t be so fond of cleaning items.
We have also done lots of research for our new food regimen & obvious need for baby-proofing.  Posts to come, right after Waverly’s 10 MONTH Post this Sunday.  Yep, this little lady is less than a week from being in the double digits.

Happy Friday!  Enjoy the holiday weekend. ðŸ™‚

Waverly is a doll! Such a stylish little summer girl!

We are lovers of the whale cover too. Why the other bath toys aren't more fun is beyond me 🙂

    Have a great holiday weekend!
