Mommy’s Wishes

Disclaimer:  I am completely aware that this Christmas Wish List shows the fact that I am almost in my 30s.  But even at 30, I never envisioned that the first item I would have on my list would have anything to do with a museum.  However, this is my new reality.  And I couldn’t be happier.

1:  Marine Science Museum Membership;  As previously posted on Waverly’s Wish List, both my baby girl & I are a little obsessed with an afternoon in the jogging stroller.  It appears that she may have gotten my “social” genes and always wants to be on the move.   But as winter gets closer and the weather gets colder, we can’t get take advantage of the stroller and therefore … I keep finding myself at Target or the mall spending money I shouldn’t be.  So to help out my bank account, I have asked for a family membership to our local museum.  I’m almost embarassed to admit how excited I am about it.

2:  A Few Fashions for Me;  This is the one wish on my list that has not changed.  As much as I loved being pregnant and my growing belly, I have found the return to my skinny jeans and Forever 21 fashions pretty relieving.  I almost forgot how many style options there are when you can actually pull up a zipper.  So just as always, I have asked Santa (my own mommy) for a few new additions to my wardrobe.

3:  Boon Flair Pedastal High Chair;  This will be the latest addition to the vast amount of baby gear that we have on our downstairs floor, but I am really looking forward to this one (I have been known to complain about some of the others, thanks to my OCD personality.)  After researching & reading lots of reviews online, this one seemed to be a great option.  And I love the look of it.

4:  White Fur Rug; There are two reasons for this rug making my wish list.  The first, and most logical, is to place in the middle of Waverly Maye’s nursery room floor.  My second reason, which is perhaps a slight ridiculous but nonetheless … is because I think it will make the perfect backdrop for the millions of pictures that I take of Waverly every day.  This may not make sense to my husband, but it certainly makes perfect sense to me. 🙂

5:  Camera Strap; Speaking of taking pictures & my obsession with taking them, as a result, one of my wishes had to be camera-related.  I’m not quite sure if I have any real need for a new camera strap, other than how super cute this one is.  These days, anything with a chevron print makes me very happy.

6:  Keurig; We have had a Keurig for the past two years now, and absolutely love it.  I drink coffee to a fault, sometimes over three cups a day (especially in those first weeks of no-sleep when Waverly was first born.)  Ours recently hasn’t been performing as well as it did in the beginning, so a replacement is needed ASAP.

7:   Greeting Card Software; I have paid more money than I am willing to admit on photo cards since Waverly was born.  She changes so much in such a short time, that I can’t help but send photo cards out (with her as the star) every opportunity I get.  I figure getting the software so I can do it on my own is a smart idea.  Now I just have to figure out how to use it.

So there you have it.  My official grown-up, mom Christmas wish list.  Something tells me that even though I am a mom and a certified “adult” now, I still won’t be able to sleep the night before Christmas.  Even though I don’t know if that will ever change.

Here is Waverly Maye’s latest photo & also her Outfit #15 in her Chic Countdown to Christmas.

Waverly’s Onsie is from Carters, Vest is from Old Navy, Headband from Etsy, and Shoes from Zulily.
