Mommy & Daddy Date Night

For the second time since giving birth to our sweet Waverly Maye, my husband and I left her at home in an effort to spend some time as “adults” similar to how we did before she was even a twinkle in our eye.  Well, try is the key term, as we spent the majority of our dinner and drinks talking about her new facial expressions, wondering what she was doing at the moment, and lastly, looking at her pictures recently taken in my camera. 

It was certainly relaxing and enjoyable to have dinner together as a couple at one of our favorite restaurants (THANK YOU to Aunt Meghan & Uncle Preston for taking such good care of Waverly so we that could!) .  It was especially nice for me to have some glasses of wine after a long pregnancy without it, and I definitely took advantage.  🙂

But the best part of the night was definitely coming home to our new, complete life with Waverly Maye.  Yes, it is completely different … definitely one with more responsibility and less relaxation and “me” time.  But it is worth it when you look at those big, beautiful eyes and adorable smile. 
I know I have said it before, but I seriously can’t imagine life before her.
