Just like every other weekend since having Waverly Maye, the last couple of days were ones for the books. Thanks to this face.

As nice as a massage or a spa day would be, the only way I wanted to celebrate my first official Mother’s Day weekend was with Waverly Maye. Time spent with her these days is anything but relaxing. Better words to describe it would most likely be crazy, comical, & occasionally, straight-up hysteria. She keeps us on our toes (literally) 100% of the time. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Sunday was perfect. We started the day with Waverly’s current favorite, Eggo Waffles. I swear I looked over at one point and she was face down licking some fallen syrup off of her bib. Luckily her Gap yellow dress was safe from the mess & we headed to our kids class at The Little Gym, brunch with my in-laws, and then lunch with my side of the family.

Nothing makes me happier as a mom than to see how much my little girl is loved. We are so fortunate to have family & extended family who live close by and who surround Waverly Maye with the attention that she clearly craves & adores. As hectic as it makes our holidays, at the end of the day, we know we have the best case scenario. And we are so thankful.
I hope you mommas had the perfect weekend that you deserve. Now it’s time to plan for the dads. I think Waverly has something extra special planned for her favorite man.
