Make-up & Skincare Stuff

Happy Friday, friends!!  I’m totally stepping out of my comfort zone today & talking about skincare, something that I am way less than qualified to speak about with any real knowledge or facts.  But I’m a girl in her 30’s and a busy mama, so I can give you my real, unbiased experience, which is really the kind of stuff I like to read about anyways.  Especially when it comes to stuff like this.
One of my best friends since high school is a make-up artist, she is legit amazing, she did my make-up for prom, ring dance, my wedding, & even does it for some of our family photos now.  I totally trust anything she tells me, so she pretty much gives me a list of what make-up products to buy, and I buy it.  I wear make-up if we go out somewhere nice, or to work, but most days during the week when I’m with the girls – ain’t nobody got time for that.  I’m lucky if I get a brush through my hair.
As for skincare, I’ve always used either Proactiv or Clinique.  Proactiv worked for me forever, then I got pregnant, and my face went crazy (no pregnancy glow, actually quite the opposite).  So I switched to Clinique after a recommendation from a friend, and it worked much better.  After I had Waverly, I went back & forth between Proactiv and Clinique, then once I got pregnant again & the exact same thing happened, I went back to the Clinique.  Which brings me to Rodan & Fields. 🙂
A friend who sold Rodan & Fields offered for me to try it for three months, I had heard of it so many times before because honestly, my fellow bloggers would know that people ask us to sell that sort of stuff all of the time.  I never really thought much about it because 1) I’ve got too much stuff going on as it is and I definitely don’t need to be selling anything, and 2) skincare isn’t really something I am passionate about. I mean, I like my skin and I like it to look good, but I just never really bought into something making that big of a difference or that it would be worth a lot of money.
Then I used it.  And seriously, I saw a difference in my face within a day.  My skin just felt softer, smoother, and all around better.  I felt way more confident on the days that I didn’t wear make-up and even on the occasions that I do, I definitely feel like I need less of it.  Which is all-around great!!!  So when I really thought about it, it saved me money in the long run (less need to buy make-up), and really, isn’t your face worth money?  I do buy the girls endless amounts of headbands and shoes, so I really deserve to spend some money on my face. 😉  Moral of the story, I really, really loved it, saw the biggest difference, and definitely feel it’s worth it.
The regimen that I used was the unblemish, but there are quite a few different regimens if you decide to use Rodan & Fields.  I am not selling it, but my friend who I worked with on my regimen is, and the link to her site is here if you are interested!  And just a little information, it turns out, Rodan & Fields is actually developed by the same dermatologists who created Proactiv.  They are currently the second largest and fastest growing Premium skincare brand in the US.

If you have any make-up or skincare favorites that you would like to share, please do, I would love to hear!  And because every post deserves a picture, a completely unrelated one of me & me littlest babe at the waterpark.  She’s in my arms because that’s how we forever roll these days. 😉
And happiest weekend!  XO

I love R+F! I'm a consultant but I don't push sales. I personally like the added product discounts only consultants get. =)
