It’s The Little Things: Week Fifteen

We really live for the weekends around here.  Even though I get to spend a few hours with Waverly each day after work, my husband doesn’t usually get home until 6.  With Waverly going down at about 7pm each night, that doesn’t leave near enough time for the three of us.  Some days, I just want to throw that damn routine out the window & party like rock stars (or play puzzles) until the early hours of the morning on our living room floor.

So we really do try to make the best out of the moments we have together, this past weekend was no exception.  The sun was shining after a week without it & we took Waverly to our favorite park for some exploring.  Her favorite pasttime for sure.

Waverly & my husband are alike in so many ways, she loves many “girly” things like me but might have an even bigger obsession with rocks, pinecones, & sand.  I’m more of a shoe, bag, & skinny jean kind of girl, but I am loving seeing the world through Waverly’s eyes.  She really is amazed by the littlest things, it makes you realize that as we get older we really take things for granted.  Every day is a new experience for her & I couldn’t feel luckier to be a part of it.
Waverly also loves to fly, she says “dada, I fly” all day long.  Yet another reason they are so very similar, she knows not to ask me, I have more fear than the two of them combined & it scares the hell out of me.
I am really counting down the days to summer now, 4 Mondays & 23 school days to be exact.  My spring break was so much fun with Waverly & now, I can’t get out of my head how much I am missing each day when I leave her.  Along with her new talent for tantrums has come the sweetest little side, she must repeat “hi, mama” all day long & I have never heard anything I loved more.  Her personality shines more every single day & as crazy as it is, I continue to fall more in love with her!  New mamas, it really does just get better & better, just you wait! 🙂
In fashion news, our freshly picked moccasin giveaway continues today!  This blush pair is the newest to our collection, the color is perfect for spring & matches pretty much everything.  We have worn them pretty much non-stop since we got them, I love how I have started to see Waverly’s little footprints in the bottom of them.  I know we will get lots more use out of them in the months to come & can’t wait to pair them with more of Waverly’s spring & summer looks!

If you haven’t already, enter below to win a pair of moccasins of your own!  The giveaway will be closed next Tuesday & the winner will be announced that Wednesday.  Also, a special congratulations to Shelly Cannon for winning last week’s felt headbands from Dettecakes

I love the weekends too and all the extra Daddy time. My hubby's hours just changed a few weeks ago and he's leaving earlier but coming home earlier. The kids loved all that extra Daddy time.
& that pic of your hubby throwing her up is so fun!! What a brave little girl.

I love watching Waverly grow – it always gives me something to look forward to with my little man, as he a few month younger than sweet Waverly. Love each new stage of motherhood! You are so right – it really does get better and better!:)

I definitely agree – I love every minute I get to spend with Cruz on weeknights but there is never enough time. I love having a full weekend day with him so we can do something fun and check out something new. Loving your little park adventure!

My daughter is just a couple of months younger than Waverly and she loves to "fly" with my husband as well! It's one of her favorite things to do when he gets home from work. My favorite color moccs are the rose gold and radiant orchid.

too funny that she knows to ask her daddy to fly! It's amazing how at such a young age they already know who to go for when they want something: to fly, or in our house -sugar. Daddy always give sugar to the little man. Oh, dear. Your weekend adventure looked perfect! I hope the school days pass by quickly for you so you can enjoy your summer days with your little Miss!!
