With only two days until Valentines Day, LOVE is in the air & I have to give some to all of you. When Jess & I came up with this concept a couple of months ago, we knew it was special to us, but never could have imagined the support & participation we would get. Your posts, comments & support over the last couple of weeks have been SO very inspiring. Your stories have challenged me to not only look for more “little” things in my own life, but also to be a better mom to Waverly Maye. So thank you. π
In other “love” news, I can’t help but devote this week’s post to the many “little things” I am loving about Waverly right now. Her vibrant, silly & oh so sassy personality is growing quickly & each day she makes me laugh a little bit harder. I love that at this age, she really has developed mannerisms, faces & habits that are unique to her. That we are really getting a better look at what kind of person she is going to be … which on a side note, makes us really excited & really nervous all at the same time. This girl is an animated one, something tells me we will never, ever be bored again. π

So here are some of Waverly’s current “little” things … things that we have grown to know so well, things that I just have to document, & things that I really hope she does forever. Is that too much to ask?!
Her “yea” … About a month ago, Waverly started to answer questions with the cutest “yea” ever. It really is nothing short of adorable, which is a good thing because it’s definitely the most common word she says now. When I pick her up in the afternoon & ask her if she had a good day, I get a “yea”. When I’m rocking her at night & ask if her she wants to me to sing again, it’s always a “yea”. And the best EVER, when I ask her if she loves mama, she responds with a “yea”. I love the fact that she is able to communicate now & hope that she always says “yea” to everything. Because that will happen … π

Her dance … This little lady has got moves & she LOVES to use them. Waverly has definitely picked up a dance routine that she choreagraphed all on her own & performs it with 100% confidence at least five times a day. My husband swears he has seen me do the same dance moves after a few drinks, but I beg to differ. I know I couldn’t even come close to her in this department, she really kills it each & every time.
Her “allllll-done” … Waverly has been a master at saying “all-done” for a while now. How she picks up on certain phrases more than others I’ll never know, but this one was her first & remains her fave. She never misses a beat & uses it at the end of every meal time, when she is bored with a certain toy, & most recently, the minute (& I mean the minute) we place her in the stroller. We tried to get creative & rent the fun “car” stroller at the mall the other day, as soon as we placed her in that bad boy she was “alllll-done”. Girlfriend wasn’t even amused by the steering wheel!

Her “belly laugh” … Waverly has picked up this new laugh, it is so genuine that she can’t help but bounce up & down so hard that her little belly starts moving. I obviously am addicted to it & my favorite part is that my husband & I have figured out the little tricks that will make her do it every single time. We really could have had a hard day (you know, with some toddler tantrums, because that totally happens, too) & nothing else in that moment matters. It’s during those moments I know we are doing an ok job in our role as parents & what a good feeling that is!!

How rewarding is it to learn all these “little things” about our kids & to be the ones who know them so well?! I love (& feel extra-special) to know each & every single thing about Waverly, even when I am not with her I can just sit there & imagine exactly what she is doing in any single moment, because I know her that well. Yet another reason to add to the list of things I love about being a mom.
It’s week three, so you know the deal! All you have to do is write your post with whatever “little
thing” it is that you would like to share & link-up with either Jess or me at the bottom of this post! Feel free to download our logo to share on your own post or on Instagram, you can also share your own photos of “little things” with the hash tag “littlethingslinkup”.

love those baby blues and the red…precious! i love that you touched on some pretty important "mommy" things here…as in, we really will never be able to NOT think about our babies again…always wondering what they are doing, who they are with, etc. it's beautiful and scary all at the same time π
Love her words! "yea" oh my so sweet π And toddler dance moves are the best — just makes me belly laugh to watch! π
Such great pictures! And the words? Too cute. It is certainly such a blessing to watch our babies grow. Happy Valentine's Day!
She is just the most photogenic thing! Those sunglasses are too much! :o)
I love her little boots! She would fit in great over here in England!
My daughter does the opposite, "no" to eve thing, every single question, but it is the cutest "no" I have ever heard in her little voice. We're trying to say "yes" to everything now so she will pick up that word instead!
I LOVE toddler talk, especially "all done." Cam is the master of saying this two bites into his dinner!! Haha
She is so precious!
THOSE BABY BLUES!!!! need i say more?
Her little outfit is too much! Red and gray with that hat?! LOVE. Waverly is one stylish toddler…just like her momma! π

Dying over that little outfit! Too cute!
XO, Brooke
Sounds like Waverly is quite the talker! While Liam has a HUGE vocabulary, he still doesn't really say any version of yes. Usually he just says, "hmph", it's pretty funny. I've started to hear a possible "K" lately, which is cute too. But I'm holding out for a yeah or a yes!
So sweet and precious! I love to hear littles talk and learn words! Adorable pictures!!
It's truly amazing how quick and exactly what they pick up on, clever little babes!
It's so true about those belly laughs – they can cure the worst of days π
Waverly is so cute – loving that she has her own signature dance moves already! Go, Waverly, go!!!
On a sad note, I wrote a post for the link-up, but for some reason, it just won't post. And I have no idea why! I've tried a million times, but keep getting an error message that says try again. Ugh! Since it's not working for me, I thought I'd go ahead and just post the link to my post here so you could at least see that I'd joined in. Loving this link-up and will definitely try again next week!:)

Eeek! The link finally actually worked! Yay!:)
Love all those! She is so sweet!
You are SO right. It is the coolest thing to watch these little babes grow into little people with their very own personalities and quirks. Makes me excited for Aria to start saying something other than 'dada' all day. And, baby dance moves cannot be beat!
that toque! those boots! miss waverly is stylin as usual!! π
Such sweetness!! Foster uses "no" more than yeah, trying to fix that π I can't get over how adorable Waverely is!!
How cute is she?! I love her "yeah". Jonah says it too, and I love it every time he says it. Soooo cute!!
Love her!!!! I can totally see her saying, Yea! So adorable!!! I finally joined the link up and I am so excited!! Thank you for hosting! xoxoxo
Waverly can rock that red like nobody's business… and I'm pretty sure her "yea" is ADORABLE… because just look at her face – how could it not be?!
