I am all about making some sort of bucket list for every season (I sort of swear by lists for all aspects of life), but especially for summer. Waverly & I both love the waterpark so much that I know it would be really easy just to go there everyday, but I really do want to show her that summer life does exist past water slides & a lazy river. As amazing as they both are. 🙂
At the top of our summer bucket list was to make water balloons, Waverly is such a water lover that I knew these would be a hit & also, something that we could do right in our front yard. My mom got us this hose (similar here), so we recently pulled it out, along with the water table, & made an afternoon of it.

Waverly obviously loved it, she was in awe of the water balloons & we couldn’t make them fast enough!! I’m thinking we may add some to her birthday party next weekend, I have been trying to come up with an activity for kids of all ages & I think these would totally work. Other ideas are welcome & appreciated. 🙂
I’ve also made it my personal goal to take Waverly to the beach once a week. Truthfully, it takes some major energy for me to accomplish a beach trip on my own, even now that are past the infant stage. By the time I haul everything (& I mean everything, like our entire house), that we need down there, & of course the child, I am a little exhausted. Plus once we make it, I haven’t decided what freaks me out more. The waves she loves to dive into, the jellyfish, the amount of sand she consumes while we are there, or of course the thought of how long it will take to get the sand she covers both of us in off once our two-hour adventure ends. 😉
Yet all in all, the hard work is completely worth it, she is a total beach babe. I can’t even believe how much progress she has made in how well she can swim in the last couple of weeks alone. I’m convinced she is going to be swimming laps by the end of summer, she has already figured out how to go under! Another positive, I get the best workout while I am there (which is the only workout I am getting these days!).

Thanks & HAPPY, happy Wednesday!
Oh simple backyard fun!! Love it and your suit
Love your summertime shenanigans…they sound a lot like ours, minus trips to the beach (WAHHHHH!) That pic of her chilling by the ocean totally has be cracking up!
She looks like she is having so much fun playing in the water. Palmer loves the water too! Such a great way to have fun and stay cool. That photo of Waverly on the beach in her blue cover-up, gorgeous!!
Thanks for another great link-up!

I am so jealous of your beach trips!! So glad you girls are having a great summer together.. also can we talk about her little bathing suit?! Where on earth did you get it!!! SO darling! xo
Thanks, love! It is Mudpie!
How adorable is your beach babe! I made a similar vow to try and get to the beach at least once a week. I think we're going once every 2-3 weeks at this rate. Waverly just looks like she is loving all the fun summer water activities! And I'd be all over a lazy river pool!

I love that she loves the beach — such a fun experience! I can't wait til we're in our lake house next summer (not the same as the ocean but still a "beach")! Water balloons are on my summer list too can't to try them out!
Awww– love all those water pics… your photography skills are awesome! And you have a super cute subject to work with!
I'm a big list maker too, so I totally relate! I love her little swimsuits, they are the sweetest 🙂
Love her pink tutu bikini!! She is so adorable! Looks like she is having so much fun!
I always seem to over pack or the beach too. Or at least it seems I'm over packing. I feel like we use it all though. What are the essentials you pack when it is just a mom & daughter event? I'm too paranoid to take Lily by myself. haha
Her swimsuits are too much! Adore them- and you look fabulous pretty lady! (Your hair!) xoxo
I wish Liam loved the lazy river…he absolutely refuses to sit on an inner tube; it's all water slides for him! Love the water ballon idea! I haven't done that with Liam yet. Perhaps I will bust some out for his party too!
I SO wish we lived closer to the beach! This is my first link-up! Thanks for the link-up party!
This settles it. Water balloons are totally being purchased today!
Seriously with those swimsuits..?! So cute. I'd say she likes running through the sprinklers. What a fun summer!! 🙂
She goes under water already?! Impressive! I need Waverly to come over here and teach Abigail 😉
I love the new look of the blog. I hadn't noticed it yet, but it looks really great!
She is so cute in that precious swimsuit! It looks like she is always smiling and has so much fun!
True story: we just got a sprinkler very similar to the hose you got and Bella is 100% terrified of it. I envisioned it being like Waverly is adorably demonstrating – running and laughing- but my visions were replaced by screams of terror lol. I can't get over Waverly's poses!
Oh no, we have had those moments too!!!! Maybe next time?!
There is nothing better than spending the summer with a beach baby/water bug!
I can't decide whose swimsuit I love more – yours or Waverly's. 🙂
That swimsuit!!!
You are one brave mama for doing the beach alone with a toddler! That is amazing that she can already go underwater. And Loving both of y'all's swimsuits!!
You're so brave beaching it alone!! You're such a rockstar mama!
Looks like you gals are having such a great summer.
I love all the suits Waverly has and yours is adorable, too! Love!
What sweet summer memories you are making! Love all of these pictures so much! 🙂
Oh my gosh! Those swimsuits are seriously the cutest things that I have ever seen on her!
Oh my gosh, love this whole post! That picture of her sitting by the ocean just chillin… LOVE! That picture of her SWIMMING ALONE in the water??? Amazing! So brave! (Mama and Waverly!) and those pictures of her in the sprinklers… pure joy! Sounds like you guys are having the most perfect summer!
This is so cute. I wish I had the motivation to get to the beach each week. I'm not a fan of it, but my husband is. I should suck it up and make it happen more often. We are just a causeway away. I love that cover up on her. Going under! So impressive!
