Heart-Shaped Things

Happy halfway through the week!  Every year, one of the first thoughts to cure my post-Christmas sadness is the next holiday on the roster, Valentine’s Day!  I am so excited that it falls on a Saturday this time, I hate leaving Waverly Maye for work (& really feel that it should be a recognized, day-off-work holiday), so I feel extra lucky I don’t have to.  This year, it’s foods cut into heart shapes ALL day long, you have no idea how hard it was not being able to do this for her first two February holidays!
Waverly & I have already been busy getting together some Valentines, this will be her first year handing them out to her “friends” which is already way too much fun!  I am also putting together a small present for her, a Valentines book to add to our collection along with some new arts & crafts supplies.  This Christmas sealed the deal that she is obsessed with anything wrapped (& I am sure there is no turning back), so I am really looking forward to giving it to her!

In fashion news, I was kind of disappointed in the selection for toddlers this year, did anyone else find anything good?!  I mentioned before that I got Waverly the LOVE dress from Old Navy, I also rounded up the other cute options I found for both boys & girls, seen below!

Love Dress, Heart-Foiled Onesie, Heart Pajamas, I Love You Footie, Heartbreaker Onesie, Mustache PJs

And for the mamas, I came across this heart-print dress, it is just too cute plus currently on sale!!  I would definitely wear it year-round, & could probably even get by with buying big for now to wear with this growing bump.

Lastly, it’s no secret that we love a good pair of sunglasses our way, we got into the spirit early by rocking our heart frames (plus this heart headband from Willow Crowns) over the weekend!  I don’t dress Waverly in pink often, but it really is so sweet on her!

Happiest week ahead, lots of love your way!
XO

Those clothes are SO cute! Nothing cuter than little kiddies in super cute Valentine's day (or most holiday) clothes!

Yeah I was disappointed with the clothing selection this year too. I took a look at the girls section and was shocked their weren't more heart prints! We will also be eating lots of heart shaped food this year too!

I am definitely soothing my sadness about the holidays being over with thoughts of Valentine's Day for sure! Heading out to pick up some crafts today for Caleb to try, and thinking about doing little bags of fruit snacks for the kids in his Mother's Morning Out class! SO fun!:) I am a bit disappointed with V-day clothing options this year too – especially for boys. So far, I haven't picked up anything for Caleb yet, and I don't know that I will, unless I find something that catches my eye soon. Otherwise, I will probably just wait for Easter/St.Patty's Day, lol!:)

Ahh!! heart shape everything, a girl after my own heart! πŸ˜‰ We too have been celebrating valentines day in small doses… getting our secret valentine present together and valentine's made for all of Scarlett's buddies πŸ™‚ I just love this holiday and YAY for it being on a saturday… I too was pretty disappointed in the selection for kids apparel but I did order a shirt from the blue envelope (@the_blue_envelope on Instagram) and of course both Jess and megan have awesome Valentines day headbands! Small shops seem to be the way to go this year!

Yeah I agree… Not too impressed with fashion choices for Valentine's this year. I am waiting until next week to do a little shopping because I have some Old Navy cash that isn't good until next week. I am PRAYING they still have that LOVE dress because I have had my eye on it for a while now. I went with a red bow tie with white hearts on it for little man! Because I mean, a bow tie on a baby… Does it get any better?! πŸ˜‰ Hope you have a great rest of your week!

Yes! I have not been impressed by any of our regular shops for Valentine's wears for toddler girls this year! Makes me wish I'd hoarded some bigger sizes last year. The ONLY things I've found and bought this year besides tights with hearts have been a few pieces from Gymboree (where we rarely ever shop)! The tutu was an instant hit with K. I love the leggings and rash guard set and plan to wear both past VD. Picked up a matching tee just to have something specifically "valentine's day". http://www.gymboree.com/shop/dept_category.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374306289264&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=1408474395917465&bmUID=kIev_Hm

That JCrew Onsie is so, so cute! I am the same way about holidays too, as soon as Christmas is over, it's time to start with Valentine's day! I love heart shaped food this next month, just so cute!

I can't wait to pull out the Valentines decor when we move! I've been itching to put it out!
I've had a hard time with the Valentine clothing selection as well! But those heart jammies? That will be perfect for AZ nights! I need to get Mia a pair asap!

Valentines is our absolute favorite! It took me forever to round up cute outfits for ours girls, but I finely stumbled upon Little Bow and Arrows and they had adorable dresses! Now I'm planning our special breakfast πŸ˜‰
