I don’t talk about this much on the blog, but it’s actually something that’s really important to me & I am all about eating nutritious foods and staying active. Full disclosure, I was a cheerleader and pretty fit in high school, and then went to college and gained the freshman 25 (maybe over that?). I weighed more in college than I did the day I gave birth to either of my babies. Ridiculous.
These days, I am much more conscious of what goes into my body. I know what is good for me, what keeps me full, and most importantly, what is quick enough to make so that it’s actually realistic while juggling two kids. I wish I could say I still exercise, but those days (at least for now) are long gone. I had the bright idea to take the girls to the day care at the gym while I got on the elllyptical a couple months back & long story short, I made it eight minutes until the lady came to get me down because Avalon was over it. So even though I obviously am on my feet all the time anyways (also because of those two little ones!), I choose to focus on eating well for the most part and so far, this has worked to keep my weight at a place that I feel comfortable and good about myself.

As for snacks, I recently found a new favorite, DoveĀ® Chocolate Fruit & Nut. I have a major sweet tooth, so this is such a great option for a mid-afternoon pick me up. I’ve tried DoveĀ® Dark Chocolate Strawberry & Cocoa Almond, DoveĀ® Dark Chocolate Raspberry & Honey Roasted Almond, and DoveĀ® Dark Chocolate Blueberries. All three are delicious!



You can find these at Walmart stores, look for a special in-store display or you can find them on the candy aisle.

We love the dove fruit and chocolate snacks too… The raspberry was my favorite :). And I too find it easier to eat healthier at breakfast and lunch. I definitely find it harder to eat healthy though when Noah just wants chicken nuggets ;). And for some reason I can't picture you chubby, even in college!
Helpful because I am always looking for good lunch ideas, especially! And this pregnancy has me craving sweets so a healthy twist is much appreciated. š
I'm pretty good the whole day until dinner then I just want all the potatoes. I love Dove chocolate, these look delicious.
