Four Favorite Parenting Podcasts

Aaaaaah, podcasts!  I seriously cannot say enough good things about them, this post in not sponsored at all, just one mama sharing something that has been a total game-changer for me.  Truthfully, since becoming a mom, making time for me has been something I have always struggled with, especially during the school months when I am working full-time.  I have always immediately felt mom guilt when I was not working + not with my girls every minute, to make up for the time that I wasn’t there, but reaaaaaally have been making an effort to work on that – mostly because I I wholeheartedly believe that all moms deserve time to do the things they love and that ultimately, they are better moms for it.  You can’t pour from an empty cup, you must take care of yourself first.

2019 was the first year I really got better with this + I seriously think that discovering some of of my current podcasts favorites are a huge part of that.  For me, they have been a big source of inspiration + motivation, along with just something fun for me to look forward to.  I love having an outlet that I feel like I can enjoy while also getting so much out of at the same time, there are few mom podcasts I have listened to where I haven’t come out of it feeling completely rejuvenated, challenged, and just inspired to just be a better mom.  Also, I looooove that they really “give me permission” to make time for me, which sounds completely ridiculous, but sometimes a little reminder from someone who is in the same season you are in makes all the difference.

*An unrelated photo of my girls, but every post deserves a photo. 😉

I thought I would share four of my current favorites, all mama related + all SO GOOD!

Coffee + Crumbs — Current go-to for sure, Ashlee is the author of my favorite book “Motherhood is Magic” + the podcast is just as relatable and inspiring.  My favorite episodes are the “This is How We” ones, they share how they do laundry, toys, self-care …  it is so interesting and so helpful to hear what works for others.

The Mamahood — The first podcast I really got into, mostly created for moms “in the trenches of motherhood” which is soooo me right now, I have been able to relate to every episode and have really found some great parenting ideas/tips here.  Marren + Aubree are super sweet and each have three little ones, I love hearing their take on motherhood!

Find the Magic — Another favorite, I have pretty much listened to every single episode they have done.  I love their idea on miracle mornings, basically getting up before your kids each day + doing some things that bring you joy, to set the tone for the entire day!  They also have such a positive take on parenting and discipline, I love this outlook and have taken so many ideas from this.

The Mom Hour — I haven’t listened to as many from this podcast but have loved the ones I have, it’s hosted by two moms who have four kids between them!  It’s super funny and mostly light-hearted, and has some really fun episodes focused on babies + toddlers, all the way up to older kids.

If you have a favorite podcast that I did not list, PLEASE SHARE!!!  Comment below or send me a DM/message, I am always looking for new ones to add, especially as we head into 2020!  Hope your year is off to the best start! XO

Thank you for sharing these. I have been a big audiobook person. Recently I discovered some podcasts from bloggers and stuff. But now I want to read/listen to books that help me be a better person (or remind I am already doing a good job) so I love these suggestions.
