Five on Friday

Happy Friday & Happy March!!
We have welcomed this new month with a couple more rounds of our very own family sickness swap, yet another snowstorm, & obviously, its still cold as hell outside.  Yet I’ve decided to look at the positive since it can only get better from here, right?! šŸ™‚

Here are our FIVE, so excited to be back after taking a break last week!

ONECamo.  I will be the first to admit that my love for camo print comes from my husband, he could care less about fashion but is a total outdoors guy so he has always rocked it.  Now that its on trend & everywhere, we have picked up a few pieces & have been wearing them in honor of our favorite man.

Leggings
We love pairing the print with bright pieces like oranges, pinks & yellows.  It really makes it more fun & not to mention, with what feels like the longest winter of all time, we could all use a little sunshine around here!!
On a side note, Waverly really does love the camo, yet her face really tells the true story that she is hoping her military moment helps fight this damm sickness. I think it worked since she is doing much better, I may just take a page from her book & now cover myself head to toe. šŸ˜‰

TWOFur.  If it must stay freezing & snow, I might as well get to stay at home for it!  Waverly Maye was the sweetest snow bunny in her fur jacket on our snow day, it might just be my favorite jacket she has ever worn.

Cardigan (Jacket No Longer Available) & Headband
For us, fur is definitely a classic & I don’t think a time will ever come that we don’t love it, love it!  We bought big (like we usually do) so that Waverly can still wear this jacket next winter & are also currently finding LOTS other deals for next year.  Now really is the time to invest in some classic affordable winter pieces for both you & your little one!

THREE:  Now that it is officially March, we are going oh so very green & are ready to shake our shamrocks!  I picked up this lime cookie mix at Target & love that it has brought a little extra festiveness into our house this week!

FOUR:  Our dining room & bar cart also got a St. Patricks Day makeover recently, I have to say that I love this cart even more than I thought I would!  It is so fun to decorate each month, I love updating it with new colors & prints to get us all in the mood.

Up until about a week ago, those ever-present toddler hands could not reach the top shelf.  Time to rethink the glassware there (& everywhere else in our entire home)?!  Most likely.

FIVENella’s Story.  Kristin from Sounds of my Pitter Patter was so sweet to let me know of an adorable little lady named Nella this week.  Nella & her family are currently battling SMA, a terminal genetic neurmuscular disease.  Statistics show that 90-95% of kids with this disease won’t live until their 2nd birthday.  Nella’s parents & her big brother have chosen to live everyday by celebrating their sweet girl & enjoying every little moment with her.  You can read more about Nella’s story here, it is truly inspiring & Waverly Maye & I both send the most positive thoughts their way!!
As always, a special thank you to Liz, April & the lovely ladies of this weekly link-up.  I also want to give a sincere thank you to so many supportive comments on my #littlethingslinkup post this week.  I honestly went back & forth about posting something so personal to our family, but ultimately decided that if I am going to share about Waverly, then I might as well share it all.  I found so much in comfort in your positive comments & similar stories, & hope that our story was helpful to someone else, too!  This community is truly so very supportive & I am thankful to be a part of it.
HAPPY weekend, XOXO!

How adorable! I've seen the camo popping up a lot lately but was perplexed as to what to pair it with – per the usual, you rock with some fab suggestions!! I love your bar cart as well. We are getting ready to move into an old historic home on the downtown district and this would look adorable in our new dining room. Have a great weekend!

Waverly is definitely making me want to jump on the camo bandwagon. Unfortunately, I would never look as cute in it as she does:) My little Caleb rocked a camo shirt earlier today (his daddy dressed him). And he looked pretty darn cute in it too:)

Love your lil cutie and the St. Patrick's themed bar cart! Totally agree on buying coats big and stocking up on the fur! It's not like that's going anywhere!
