Five on Friday

It’s FRIDAY, my favorite day of the week.  I will take it!
How about a list of the FIVE things I am loving right now to celebrate?!

ONE:  Hunter Green.  I have always loved green … which is probably why the nine bridesmaids at my wedding wore the color.  It is so fresh, versatile, & best of all (for me & my mini), it is the ideal shade for a redhead.  Lucky for us, this fall it is totally on trend & pretty much everywhere.

TWO:  Car Organization.  Even though I pack Waverly’s bag each night, it’s inevitable that between my husband dropping her off in the morning & her day at her sitter, stuff just disapears.  All the time.  I can’t even count the number of times that we have gone out after picking her up & been in total crisis mode because one of her essentials was missing.  And let’s face it, there really is nothing worse than being out with a toddler unprepared.  So in an effort to at least appear like I am a working mom that has it somewhat together, I did this.

Thank you to Jen at IHeartOrganizing for inspiring me to do this!  I just used an old basket I had from Micheals & clear pouches I found on sale at Target.  I included a bag for snacks, toys, paper plates & plastic forks, extra wipes, & a sippy cup.  So far, our afternoons have run a lot more smoothly. #thankgoodness #iwasgoingcrazy

THREE:  Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Pancake & Waffle MixI mentioned this on our weekend recap this week, but had to share again!  Ladies, it is so yummy & easy to make.  Win & win.

FOUR:  Our Chevron Pumpkin.  Do you think it would be socially acceptable to just paint myself in the chevron print?  Because I really am obsessed & may need help (see what Waverly wore this week here.)  So it’s only fitting that this chevron pumpkin now proudly sits in our entryway, greeting anyone & everyone who walks through our front door.

I’m not going to lie, my talented husband helped complete this DIY project.
*You know the song “anything you can do I can do it better … .”  My husband in a nutshell.
The reality is that he can, damn it.

FIVE:  Soup & Pumpkin Carving Night.  Tonight we are hosting a soup night with friends & are going to carve our very first pumpkins of this year!  It is safe to say we will be knee deep in pumpkins while enjoying festive fall goodies & adult beverages.  Halloween Heaven!

Thank you to Darci & the ladies for hosting this link-up!
We hope everyone had the best week & has an even better weekend!!! 🙂
XOXO

Love the pumpkin!! I took the easy route and just threw them on the porch in their natural orange and white goodness with just a spray of gold metallic spray paint for some shine….really should try to fancy them up a bit! I want to paint a couple white with black polka dots. 🙂 Have a great weekend!

Send your husband over to make me a chevron pumpkin anytime!! And I love your car organizer. We have one- but it's a mess. And still has newborn diapers in it. You've inspired me to step it up and clean it up!

After 15 months I wised up and actually just did the car-emergency kit too! I don't know how many times I was caught without diapers or a snack while on the go…not good!

SOOOOO cute! Gosh I just love all her outfits! How the heck do you keep bows on her? Presley (after wearing them daily for 6 months) refuses to wear them anymore and it breaks my heart!!!
