Father’s Day Weekend

This weekend was such a good one, finally a couple of days to relax after all we’ve had going on the last few weeks.  We needed it!  The weather was perfect, no rain & lots of sunshine, the girls just love being outside every second lately so we take full advantage.
We got this bike trailer when Waverly was little & are so excited that Avalon is big enough to use it now, we put both girls in for the first time Saturday and rode around our neighborhood and to the park.  They both loved it, of course Avalon got tired & fussy, Waverly kept trying to feed her yogurt bites to keep her happy and when it wasn’t working she said “Goodness gracious, sweetie girl, I just very can’t take this anymore, you are stressing me out”.  The things she says are my favorite.
We were so excited to celebrate Father’s Day, we had donuts in bed, daddy went for a golfing trip while we stayed around & cleaned the house, and then went to my grandparents for a cookout.  I can’t say enough about my husband, who is raising two little girls who are going to grow up adoring their daddy, just like I did.  It’s still surreal to me that this is our life, that we are old enough to have two kids and that they are healthy, happy, and just so beautiful inside & out, which is undoubtedly a testament to the kind of father he is.  He is selfless, hard-working, and exactly the kind of man I hope my girls find one day.
Also, he’s mastered an Elsa braid like a boss.  We just love him.
Lastly, two things!  One, I finally took the plunge on Hanna Anderson jams (that the girls are wearing above) after hearing so many things, and let me just say that they are AMAZING!  Worth every bit of the money.  They are so soft and only have gotten better with each washing.  I know they will last which makes the biggest difference when it comes to kids clothes.
And most importantly, has anyone used the online grocery store ordering service?  I ordered groceries on my computer while the girls played yesterday, they called me a few hours later to let me know that they were ready, so we literally pulled in & someone brought out our bags and even put them in the car for me.  I didn’t even get out of my car.  It was amazing and quite possibly the best thing that happened to moms in the history of ever.
Hope you had the best weekend!
XO

Love love love. From Waverly's freckles and cheesy face to the matching jammies in bed! Happy Father's Day to your hubby and all the awesome daddies out there!

YES to Hanna Andersson jams! I swear Seth thinks I'm crazy for spending so much money (though I do always look for a sale) but they are seriously the BEST jammies I've ever gotten for Mason. Hands down.

I keep hearing about this magical online grocery ordering and I think I need to make it happen.

    Those jams are perfection.

The first picture of Wave is possibly my all time favorite of her. So so sweet.

LOVE! "Goodness gracious, sweetie girl, I just very can't take this anymore, you are stressing me out". <<< that girl cracks me up! Their matching jams is the cutest thing ever. I haven't used the online grocery service yet, but it sounds amazing!

That first picture of Waverly is my favorite of her EVER!!! Also, I cannot believe your held out on HA this long!!! They definitely hold up the best of all pajamas which is so nice for handing things down. And their halloween & christmas prints are always the best!

Father’s Day Weekend

Happy Monday, hope you all had a wonderful holiday with the special men in your life!  We survived yet another weekend as parents of two, but definitely more notably, the girls & I made it through our second week at home, just the three of us.  Last week was a little harder than the first, my husband had a job that kept him working overnight two days in a row (which would bother me even if I had no kids, because I’m still 12.)  So while most days I can count down the minutes until I have a couple more hands to help & am no longer outnumbered, 6pm came & went and I found myself giving Waverly a bath while breastfeeding Avalon, trying to figure out how somehow, my first adult beverage in ten months could make its way into that equation (which obviously, it didn’t, I don’t even think I found time to pee).  Kind of a circus.  Yet we all made it, alive, & pretty damn ecstatic when daddy finally walked in the door Friday afternoon. 🙂
And then the weekend.  It has been crazy hot here, like really hot, so we made plans to take the girls to the pool on both Saturday & Sunday, which really is ideal the situation for us right now.  Plus, it gave me the chance to put them in the swimsuits my mom got them a few months back. Avalon might not be old enough to swim yet (or even close), but I could have died at the sight of her in a newborn suit, matching her big sissy.

And of course, we were so excited to celebrate daddy on Sunday!  Waverly & I had picked him out some new shoes last week and naturally, she told him all about them the next day, so although we had no surprises, we had a great day as a family.  We went out to brunch, just the four of us, & then went to the pool with my side of the family for the rest of the day.  After two days in the sun, Waverly was one happy, exhausted toddler & we finished off the weekend with an early bedtime plus an adults only (plus the sleeping baby) dinner. 🙂

The biggest shout-out to this guy, who deserves it all for how hard he works for our family!  He is as manly as they come, but rocks it as a girl dad & I just know that these two little ladies will be daddy’s little girls just like I still am today.  Life has just gotten a whole lot crazier, but there is no one else I would rather raise my babies with & I am so, so thankful for him.
Hope you all have a wonderful week!
XO

She seems like such a sleepy little baby! I know, I know, I'm sure at 3AM you wish she was a sleepy baby! 😉 So glad you guys are settling in as a family of 4 so well. Be ready for rough patches, but it really is so fun and crazy.
