I try to send a card to our family each Easter, I have done it since Waverly was born & always love looking back on the ones from the years before. I almost skipped this year, but am so glad the weather was recently nice enough to get outside & take some pictures to be able to get one in the mail. Waverly is growing so fast these days, I know other moms can relate, sometimes I feel like she wakes up looking so much older than when I put her to bed the night before. And of course, I always find myself convinced that I just couldn’t love her more, yet somehow I always, always do.

At just over three months from age three, Waverly Maye is as spunky, talkative, silly, & curious as ever. She is constantly making us laugh, which she knows and loves, being the center of attention is her favorite & it’s safe to say that she’s not the happiest when she isn’t. π She talks louder than the rest of us combined & has a ridiculous amount of energy packed into one compact little body. Her love for music is stronger than ever, her current favorite songs are “All About that Bass” & “Uptown Funk” (which she refers to as funk you up, I’m sure you can imagine the crazy looks I get in Target when you begs me to play it from my phone).
Her imagination right now is insane, & one of my very favorite things about her. She still calls her “guys” on the regular (something she has been doing since she was about two), & recently, she has named one “Gold”, he apparently lives in our neighborhood. I could listen to her talk to him all day, we don’t go anywhere without her calling to update him on where we are at or what we are doing. She always says “oh my gosh, that is so cute!” to him, in which I always laugh, then she immediately puts down the phone & says, “mommy, do not laugh at me” before putting her phone back to her ear. I’m getting visions into her teen years already. She will always ask her babies why they are crying. will rub their forehead & let me know when they spilled something on their face, one of the many reasons I know she is going to be one amazing big sister in a couple months.

I have to mention it, Waverly is a hoarder, I’m convinced of it & think we may need to take her on the show one day. π We recently bought her a suitcase that rolls (it’s a kid version so it’s not crazy big), which we decided was necessary after her little body was determined to carry a bag everywhere we went. We weren’t allowed to look inside, but I obviously always do, it has everything from baby blankets to random toy spray bottles. She sleeps with it every night & it has to be on her lap anytime she is in her car seat, it drives me crazy but I can’t help but think it’s hilarious (especially when we get the most confused looks since you know, we are walking through the mall pulling a legitimate suitcase).
She is a total daddy’s girl but loves all things girly, playing dress-up, shopping, & doing her nails or make-up. She is curious about everything these days, is constantly asking questions, & though she is shy when she first meets someone, within minutes she always warms up. Her first question is always always “what is your doggie’s name?”, our dog is by far her best friend, she loves to dress him in hats, belts & headbands while laughing uncontrollably.

Not everyday is rainbows & butterflies, her determined, fierce personality can make some moments pretty painful and at times, I really wonder if I am going to lose my mind. Yet ultimately, we are all so obsessed with her & the little lady she is becoming right before our eyes. I can’t believe we get to keep her forever. π
Happy three months from three. Waverly Maye, we love to love you!
She sounds great! I love this age… They have such imaginations and can really be the sweetest!
I'm just happy I don't have the only toddler who runs around saying "funk you up!"
She's the cutest! And the sweetest!
I think an Easter card is such a sweet idea and keepsake :)!
Oh my gosh, what is with the suitcase? That is too funny!! We got Cam an LLBean backpack (They have a mini-version), and when we bring it with us, he insists on carrying it on his back and putting things in there…we've left stores with gift cards (not activated, of course) – I think he thinks they're money! Determined and fierce…great words. You won't lose your mind, I promise, but it does feel like it sometimes! I do love the idea of an Easter card…I may have to jump on board! What company do you use to create them?
Hilarious how she says "Funk you up!" Brantley used to sing "Drunk on a Plane" and we did nothing to discourage it! It was way too cute!
Are you kidding me with these pictures?! Waverly is such a ham and I love her! The flower crown is beautiful!
Her personality is so fun! I'm convinced that she and Mia would be BFFs if they could every get together! We are going to break down and buy Mia a rolling suitcase after seeing her obsession with one in H&M (I couldn't bare the idea of buying that one… too loud. too ugly. But Mia was in love, HA!) and it will surely go EVERYWHERE with her as well!
Her little pigtails are SO cute. And it sounds like she has great taste in music!
Oh I just love this- especially the phone convos and you trying not to laugh! haha Great mental image!
Her personality shines through these pictures. Rae totally gets down to "funk you up", toddlers are the best.
