Birthdays, Boat Rides & Bumbos

Summer is busy for birthdays our way, it seems like every week or weekend we have someone to celebrate, especially now that we have added our two summer baby girls to the mix!  This past week was my husband’s 33rd, which makes it the 18th birthday I have spent with him.  Crazy!  Like usual, he wanted nothing, but Waverly & I went to pick him out some shirts last week since we felt like he desperately needed them (does anyone else have a serious hard time buying for your man?).  Of course he called while we were there & she shouted to him, “we just got you a birthday present, shirts, grey ones!”. 😉  We also got out over the weekend to celebrate, our first dinner sans kids since Avalon was born!  Though I’ve been putting off leaving her for the first time, some alone time (& a couple beers) was very much needed, and appreciated!  Thanks to my mom for keeping both girls for the first time, fingers crossed she agrees to take our traveling circus again!

I’m not sure there’s much more you could want at 33 than two daddy’s girls. Lucky guy.

The weather here was beautiful on Sunday, seriously perfect, after a very hot July the first part of August has been in the 80s & we are all about it!  We took the girls out on our friends boat and spent the entire day on the beach, eating way too much food, crabbing, relaxing under the tent, & building lots of sandcastles.  Summertime perfection.

In equally notable news, we pulled out the bumbo for Avalon!  She still seems so little to be in it, but she really doesn’t love laying flat & already can hold her head up pretty well, so we decided to try it.  It was the cutest thing, we stay right next to her and she doesn’t last long, but it’s nice to have another option to put her in when she needs a change of scenery.
Hope you all had the happiest of weekends!
XO

Happy Birthday to your husband! But is he 32 or 33? The cake says 33 lol ;). Isn't it funny how families seem to have a "season" of birthdays. For my family it's October-November!

Happy Birthday to your hubby! Love that Waverly told him what you got him as a gift. Cam does that too. Ha ha! Avalon in the bumbo is so stinking cute. 🙂

Happy birthday, seems like several of the bloggers I follow hubby's had birthday celebrations this weekend! Funny how that works out. Yes to the finding gifts for husband's is hard! they just buy what they want, when they want it, makes for finding gift difficult.

I love that you two have been together for so many years! And that day of boating & crabbing sounds lovely!

A Happy Birthday to him! And naturally leave it to the kiddo to ruin any and all surprises. Can't tell them a thing. And and, such a tiny bumbo princess!

Happy birthday to your husband!!! Sounds like you guys had the best weekend celebrating! Our birthday season is definitely the summer too! Mainly July though, so we're free for a couple more months now until my birthday 🙂
