Bathtime Favorites

Aaah, bath time!  One of our very favorite times of day, it always has been, we look forward to it, try to make a big production out of it, & more times than once, it has saved us from a major meltdown and disaster of a night.  Now that we are a family of four, we love it more than ever, & unless we have something else going on in the evening, we try to make it happen for both girls each night.

It’s become a great way to spend some one-on-one time with Waverly, lately she is convinced she is a mermaid & loves to have us watch her do her underwater “tricks”, so we try to take turns giving her a bath while the other person watches the baby.  Even though she could be in, out & clean within a few minutes, she usually is in there for at least half an hour, surrounded by bubbles (the more, the better!).  Avalon is the same way, she loves them, it’s totally the highlight of her little world right now!  It’s also a great way to keep her awake in the early evening, something we have been trying to do especially as gets older.

And every once in a while, we get really crazy, & have a sister bath.  The sisters love it but me, not so much, Avalon’s still pretty small & Waverly’s highly unpredictable, so I’m thinking we will wait at least a few more weeks before this becomes anything we do on the regular.

I thought it would be fun to share some of our bath favorites, I am always interested in what everyone else uses & what is working for them!  For Avalon, we mostly use the angelcare tub, which we love.  It fits perfectly in our kitchen sink so we mainly use it there, it’s angled so it is comfortable for her to fit in now but will definitely grow with her.  We also use the blooming bath, a pass-down from Waverly, we like it but since laying flat really isn’t Avalon’s thing yet, she definitely prefers the angelcare for now.
Waverly would honestly just be entertained by a bunch of cups & bowls from the kitchen, but we have a lot of toys that we keep near the tub that she has used since right around her first birthday.  Our favorite are these foam letters, that I’m sure most of you have, we love to ask Waverly to find a specific letter and now to even help us spell out her name.  We also use the bath writers on special nights (or if we really want to extend bath time!), books that are water friendly, or the color tablets just for fun.
Both our babies have sensitive skin like me, so I’m always careful about what shampoos or lotions we use, we have been using mostly honest products since Avalon was born & love them!  I also love anything Burt’s Bees, even before kids, and have been happy with all the baby products we have tried so far.
And lastly, maybe my favorite part of bath time, baby bath towels!  I’m not sure there is anything cuter. 🙂  Lulujo recently sent me the cutest bath towels (in addition to some other equally amazing swaddle blankets), they have quickly become a favorite!  They are so soft, a good size, & they wash well.  Plus the print is super cute!  Also pictured, both girls after bath time the other night, I can’t even take their sweetness!

What are some of your favorite bath products?  Please share, we are always looking for new things to try!  Hope you are all having the best week!

The towels are so pretty! Bath time was always the best way to get past one of those exhausting periods of the day but now Aria is not a fan. Come on kid who doesn't love baths. I think we need bubbles.

The last picture is a framer for sure. Have you heard of Hot Tot- we use that and it's amazing. The smell is based off of cabbage patch dolls.

Oh those last few pictures are so adorable! Liam loves brother baths so we try to do them frequently. He also loves helping to bathe Finn, so bath time is always loved over here too!

Ah, sibling baths!! I haven't been brave enough to try it – I am a little too nervous, too!! Cam loves his space, so I don't think he would like an intruder just yet. 🙂 LOVE those towels!! They are super cute and look cozy! I love watching Waverly and Avalon grow together…they are precious!! xoxo

We love bath time in this family, too! Now that we will have a second baby boy arriving in just a couple months, brother bath time is something I have been dreaming about. There is seriously nothing cuter than two wet little babies in a tub! But I can't imagine my crazy toddler in the bath with a tiny one…totally understand wanting to wait a little longer!

Bath time is a must over here too. 🙂
my youngest is almost 2 months so I'm holding off on sisterly bath time also. No way of telling what those toddlers might do. 😉

They are soooo precious!! We love bathtime over here too! We recently started bathing both girls together and 3.5 and 6 mo and it is sooo cute to watch! We love bath squirters with all our favorite characters! and recently we have been using sand shovels and ores and we row the bath while singing "Row row row your boat!" xoxo

Your girls are so precious!!! We do bathtime together. I was a bit nervous for a while, but Cam was always so gentle around Emmy. He's gotten rougher now that she's bigger, but is still careful. She loves sitting in the big tub with him and splashes him more than he does her. Ha ha! I love that Waverly llikes to pretend to be a mermaid. I'm sure that is entertaining. 🙂

Bath time is one of our favorites as well! Marcus loves it because, water. I love it because it fills up a solid 30 minutes in the evening. 🙂
Target usually has Crayola bath paints that Marcus loves to paint and "wash" the tub walls with. They're generally found in the One Spot, and I load up on those whenever I see them. We also found that a kitchen colander makes for pretty good entertainment as well.
