Big news from this month, Avalon has a tooth! It came with a cold and a few days where she wasn’t quite herself, & broke through about a week before Christmas. We think at least one more is on the way, she has been drooling more than ever (which is a lot) and she puts everyyyyything in her mouth. Thankfully, she is finally liking more foods, it’s been nice to be able to supplement some with oatmeal mixed with veggies & fruits, as well as puffs just to snack on (her fave!). I am still breastfeeding, I had a few days where it looked like my supply was going down, but I have started to take fenugreek and it’s made a HUGE difference. I definitely recommend it!
Sleep is going great, both our girls are good sleepers, which I definitely feel is one of those game-changer type of things. Most nights Avalon is more than ready for bed by 6:45 or 7, sleeps until about 5, eats & then is back down until 7. Naps are much less reliable or consistent, but we are both swaddle & sleep-sack free, so I consider that a win! She is most often a belly sleeper, or more specifically a head straight down on the bed sleeper, which was scary at first, but we’ve just come to realize that’s how she rolls. Or sleeps.
Avalon is pretty much crawling these days, it may not be exactly a crawl yet, but she gets wherever she wants to go. She is into everything, (like really, nothing is safe), way more than we ever remember Waverly being at this age. Yet she still has this calm, sweet, laid-back demeanor to her and you just can’t help but be so happy around her. She is just straight sugar, we can’t imagine our family without her and I am forever grateful for our little ladies!
Happy halfway through the week!
