And miss Avalon has officially been in the world just as long as she was in my belly, happy nine months to our little sweetheart!

I thought I would start off with a few stats about Avalon this time around.
Weight & Height: We have her nine month appointment soon, so I’m not sure yet, but my guess is she is still pretty low in the percentile. She definitely has rolls, chunks & cheeks (which we love!), but is wearing mostly 3-6 month clothing still. Excited to put her in some of Waverly’s spring and summer passdowns soon!
Milestones: She is still just so strong for how little she is, and alwaaaays on the move. Her crawl has turned into a bear crawl and she pulls up on everything. She will dance when she hears music or when Waverly does, it’s the cutest!! She can wave bye-bye, drink from a straw, and repeats da-da all day long. She also just loves to use her voice, babbling and just attempting to copy Waverly by just making noise. It can get very loud sometimes, which I’m sure it just a small glimpse into our future! 😉 Also, she has two teeth!!
Favorite Foods: We are still breastfeeding, a long feed in the morning and one at night, and a couple shorter ones throughout the day. As far as other foods, she is an all-carb girl, like mommy & sissy! We will cut up little pieces of toast for her, pasta, or pancakes. Her favorite food is yogurt, which we have started mixing with vegetables and oatmeal so that we can get those in. We really have gone more the baby-led weaning route this time and it has worked well, it’s so much easier to give her little versions of what we eat and she seems to like it more anyways.
Sleep: She’s still a pretty amazing sleeper, even naps have gotten more consistent, which we are so thankful for! She has a pretty solid hour & a half nap each morning, a shorter one in the afternoon, and sleeps from about 7pm to 7am each night. Sometimes she will get up for a random feeding, and sometimes not, just depends on the night!
Signature Moves: Tongue out & smiling with both lips pursed together. Hoping she does this forever & ever!
Favorite Things: She really is content with a basket of toys, she loves this elephant popper (that Waverly also loved) & this walker. And moving. She is happy if she can move and explore, and it’s an an added bonus if she can put her mouth on everything. 😉 She loves to be outside, to take baths, and still laughs the hardest when big sister plays with her.
Least Favorite Things: Being still or having something taken away from her that she wants. She is also very attached to people she knows best, more than we ever remember Waverly being, and will lose it if my husband & I are in a room and we are not the ones holding her.
Avalon got a double ear infection this month, which came right after Waverly was sick for a couple weeks straight. Not fun at all, I thought having a sick kid was bad, then I had two. We felt horrible for them and for ourselves, it was long and hard, but it looks like everyone is on the mend and we are thrilled! Other than those few days, Avalon remains just as happy & adorable as ever, she is so smiley, so easy-going, and just has this peace to her that is the absolute sweetest. It’s bittersweet to see her grow so fast, but we just love the little person she is turning into and life with her & Waverly is just getting better the older they get. Happy nine months, Avalon Elle!

And just for fun, a picture of Waverly Maye at nine months!

Definitely sisters!!! 🙂
Avalon is just absolutely beautiful! And that sleep! Whatta keeper 😉
We've done baby led weaning here too and it is fantastic!
Goodness, adorable little Avalon!
I'm tempted to go more the led weaning route. About what month did you start doing tiny pieces of food? I'm not sure we are there yet.
The "da-da-da-" all day long sounds super familiar! As does the mobility. Always on the go. I suppose it's to keep up with the older siblings. 🙂
Glad to hear your girls are feeling better! I love the comparison photos of Avalon and Waverly at 9 months!
Sweet girl!!! xx

I really wish I could have known about BLW when Connor was little. What a great way to have them control their feedings and I love the messes they make!
