29 Weeks

Dress
Size of Baby:  The head of a cauliflower!  Just from feeling her I can tell how much bigger she has gotten lately, it’s so crazy & so exciting! πŸ™‚

Maternity Clothes:  Now that the weather has warmed up & there are cute spring clothes popping up everywhere, I am all about buying loose dresses that work with the bump but are not maternity.  I hope to keep wearing them all summer after she is here, so I’ve been trying to find options that I can breastfeed comfortably in.  That was something I never thought about before I had Waverly, & I remember having some really awkward moments with clothes that weren’t even kind of going to work, so I’m hoping to do better for round two. πŸ™‚

Best Moment This Week:  We have been reading this book with Waverly most nights, trying to get her more ready for her baby sister, & it’s been the cutest.  I know it’s on her mind more than ever now (maybe as my belly gets bigger), but she says “hi, baby sissy” right to my belly when I walk in her room in the mornings & I could just melt! πŸ™‚  She asked me if I think her little sister will play blocks with her or be able to walk when she gets here, so we definitely have some learning to do, but I really get more anxious to see the two of them together every single day.

Miss Anything:  Just being comfortable.  Sleep is definitely still a challenge, I’m thinking it probably will be from here on out, it takes forever to find a position that works & then once I do, I have to get up to pee.

Movement:  SO, so, so much lately!  More than ever, & I’m even thinking it may be more than what I felt with Waverly (which is scary, considering how wild Waverly is!).  Just the past week I have been able to feel little fingers, toes, maybe even a little butt, it’s such a weird feeling!

Cravings:  The same, I have been trying to eat healthier since I am not sick anymore & more options are appealing.  It’s not quite as exciting but it works!

Queasy or Sick:  The flu is behind us, thank goodness!  So we are feeling good! πŸ™‚

Looking Forward To:  Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow, & then it’s all things Easter for a couple of weeks!  Waverly has a serious obsession with watching egg videos on you tube (it’s the weirdest thing ever), I already pulled out the eggs for her & she is loving it already.  We have plans for a couple Easter egg hunts, I can’t wait to watch her!!

Wishing you a happy St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow!
XO

Dressing to breastfeed can definitely be a challenge. That's so cute that Waverly is asking if her sister will be able to play and walk when she arrives! She's so excited for a buddy! I'm excited for Easter too… Noah is obsessed with eggs and bunnies right now too!

You look lovely, lady, as always. I never would have thought about buying clothes that are cute and breast feeding appropriate. THanks for that tip!

Your sweet moments are just precious. HI baby sissy just makes me melt! Hope you get more sleep soon, lady!

Loving that sweet Waverly is so excited about her sissy – even if it may take a bit for her to understand that sissy will not be quite ready to play with her right away!:)

I ordered some non-nursing pjs last night, but they look like they will be easy to just kind of pull down on one side as needed – guess I need to be doing that with clothing too:) Thanks for that reminder, Ashley! Have you heard of the undercover mama? You can find it here: http://undercovermama.com/. I'm thinking about investing in one for the shirts/dresses I know I'll want to wear, but that aren't nursing friendly. I love the idea of still being covered up while trying to nurse instead of having to peel down and feel completely bare when in a non-nursing friendly top or dress. Eeeek!

My nephew watches those egg videos on you tube.. it’s crazy! So cute that she’s loving all the Easter festivities though! Also so cute that she’s so excited for her sister πŸ™‚

I've been slacking in reading/writing blogs lately, but wanted to stop by and tell you that you look fabulous and glad you're all feeling better!! πŸ™‚

Ughh…dressing to breastfeed is something that I certainly don't enjoy! I'll be ready to go back to wearing all my normal clothes…but I've still got quite a ways to go!

  11. March 16, 2015 / 2:47 pm

    You are just gorgeous.
All the spring clothes are so cute right now! It's been really hard to not buy everything, in maternity and non-maternity! I'm sticking with you though, give me all the light flow-y dresses that will work before and after baby. πŸ™‚
Sleep… It's already starting to go downhill over here. Just prepping for what's to come I suppose. πŸ™‚

We are in the middle of our three day St. Pat partying, but I think Aria is just ready for Easter! Anytime I let that word slip she goes right over to the storage box I have sitting in the living room (because I'm lazy) and asks to get out the eggs. Soon!
Glad to hear everybody is feeling better! The movement is oh so fun.

  13. March 16, 2015 / 3:39 pm

Glad everyone is feeling better and good (but I hope you get some better sleep) You (and your hair haha) look incredible by the way!

  14. March 16, 2015 / 5:25 pm

You look great, and yes to the breastfeeding and finding cute clothes that will help you do that! You're looking great! Love these updates!

    Super cute dress!!

Yeah, Abigail is having a hard time wrapping her little brain around what having a baby will be like too. I told her the other day that babies sometimes have ten or more diaper changes a day and well, you should have seen her face. HILARIOUS.

Can I make a request for you to do a spring/summer dresses/flowy shirts post sometime soon? I am LOVING your style and love that you are dressing with non-maternity things (you know, for selfish reasons lol). You look so happy and I love how Waverly is so excited about her baby sister!

  17. March 17, 2015 / 2:39 am

    You are glowing. Just gorgeous!

  18. March 17, 2015 / 2:42 am

    You look awesome! πŸ™‚

You look AMAZING! I can't believe you were buried in snow a couple weeks ago and now you're sporting a tank top, ha ha!
Girl, the stories I have of having to completely take a whole outfit off just to nurse Mia! I was so clueless when it came to getting dressed, going out in public and having to nurse Mia! I'll be much smarter the next time around, ha ha!
