Being Brickner : About Me

About Me

Wife to Joe, Mama to Waverly Maye & Avalon Elle.  I love fashion & design, creativity, anything innovative, and a celebration (of any kind!).  Here is my story! :)

My husband & I met when we were in high school math class (he was a junior, I was a sophomore), and have been together ever since. We both moved back to our hometown of Virginia Beach after finishing college in Southwestern Virginia. It seemed right since we both come from families with four children who we still remain super close to. My husband started a welding company with his high school friend, and I started my career as a teacher at a high school ten minutes from where we grew up.

Our 18-month engagement began after I was proposed to on stage at my annual high school fashion show. After a combined effort of much planning & preparation from close family and friends, we had our dream wedding - a backyard, vintage, garden affair at my Great Aunt's house in June 2011.  We found we were expecting a sweet daughter about six months later!

Waverly Maye was born on July 26th, 2012 and her little sister, Avalon Elle, was born three years later, on June 6th, 2015.  We adore our daughters, who have become our world, & nothing is more important to me than being a mom.

I love documenting this special time in my life, as we make & raise our sweet babies!  Please email me at abrickner1@gmail.com with any questions that you have. :)
