Girls Pillow Fight

Happy Friday, we are heading into the weekend with lots of plans for some more work on the girls bathroom remodel, and of course, lots of excitement for the FOURTH at the start of next week!  It's kind of fun having it fall during the week this year, of course I am currently off for summer break but understand more than ever how amazing it is to have daddy home and be able to have an extra pair of hands to help out with the girls longer than just the weekend.

I thought I would celebrate Friday by finally sharing some photos the girls & I recently did with my dear friend, Brooke.  I have mentioned before that she moved to Florida this year, we miss her so much and love to have fun dates when she comes home to catch up on life, motherhood, and of course get creative with fun photos!  She had the idea of a pillow fight, which I LOVED, I knew the girls would have so much fun with this and I always love the idea of making a special memory for them.  We used two feather pillows and honestly were shocked at how much came out of them, the feathers were pretty much covering the floor and they just kept coming. Annnnnd coming. ;)  Of course Waverly was totally in her element, Avalon was a little more shy about it all (and also was teething that day and a little under the weather), but the images are just so much fun and show the magic and innocence of childhood so well.  One of my favorite parts of being a mom is being able to relive being a kid through them and having the excuse to do things just like this.

After the pillows were completely emptied, we face-timed my husband to prepare him for what he would see when he got home.  Sweet man, he hardly blinked and just grabbed his shop vac and asked us all about it.  He totally knew what he was getting when he married me. ;)

Wishing you the happiest weekend, friends! XO
