NYC & Our Very Own Etsy Shop

Happiest Friday, all!  I am taking a break from my usual Five on Friday today, I would love to play along like usual but am in New York City for my annual field trip with my fashion students.  No doubt, I am missing Waverly Maye like crazy!  In her 19 months of life, I have only left her overnight once & that was for this same reason last year.  On that trip, the pain of leaving my baby for the first time was then doubled when she decided to crawl for the first time while I was gone, which obviously sealed the deal that I would never, ever (like ever) leave her again.
Yet I did (although relucantly), & will admit that the only reason I agreed was because she has hit most of her major milestones already.  Unless she learns to drive a car in the next couple of days (which sometimes I think could totally be the case), I should be safe.  But missing this face for sure.

In other news, I am so very proud of my husband & excited to announce that he (we, because everything is a we now, right?!), have launched an Etsy shop!!  One of the many things I love about Joe is his hard-work ethic, his creativity, & his incredible gift for art.  We have always told him that he needed to put his talent to work & then once he made our dining room table this fall, there was no turning back.  He finally agreed that it was time, which is either a direct result of the positive feedback he got from our table or me repeating the idea for months now until he finally gave in.  Probably a combination of the two.

For now, we only have one listing which is for these two accent tables that are very similar to the big one we have in our dining room.  Both are completely hand-crafted & made from reclaimed wood.  Visit our shop, jwelds, for more details & stay tuned for more listings in the future. :)

We wish everyone a happy, fun-filled weekend with those you love!!
XOXO

  27. Those tables look fantastic! It’s interesting to see that unused wood could still be used to build beautiful furniture and decorations. Reclaimed wood could also help in decreasing the amount of trees used to build furniture because some wood could still be used despite having marks or scars.
