This Big Girl

Waverly must know that she has a milestone day coming up pretty soon, as she has been acting like a total big girl lately.  I mean seriously, who turned my baby into a toddler overnight?

YES, we have a "stand-er."  Well, kind of.  She completely has the capability to do it, & honestly really could walk down the street if she wanted to.  But this strong-willed little lady definitely isn't going to do anything she doesn't want to do.  So naturally, we have been tricking her into it.  You know, by giving her random objects to hold so she doesn't notice what she is doing.

It totally works, until the moment she realizes what she is doing & does a perfect little squat to the ground (taking after her personal trainer grandma.)  This trick works in all kinds of ways.  Like, for example, on the days that you want your baby girl to adorn some fabulous aviators.

Notice BOTH hands are full?!  Not by accident.  Waverly Maye totally rocked those sunglasses & fedora for a good thirty minutes before realizing all the accessories she was adorning.  I'm thinking she will forgive me one day for all the priceless pictures I was able to get.
Fingers crossed. :)

In other news, standing isn't the only thing Waverly has learned how to do lately.

Someone found (the inside of) her nose.  Hope she forgives me for this one, too.  I'm sure if for nothing else, this could serve as some pretty good blackmail in the future.  If she is anything like me, it might just come in handy.

Hope everyone is having a fabulous week!

  1. I'll have to try that double handed distraction! We have all these cute sunglasses but she rips them off in .7 seconds! We have a little nose picker too! I've been sure to take plenty of future blackmail pictures too, hahaha!

  3. I feel like I always say this, but I want Waverly's wardrobe! And the nose picture will surely be on display at her graduation party or something :)
