Words from Our Weekend

Happy Monday!  My Mondays are little easier these days ... now that I am only 15 days until summer break.  And entire days devoted to this face.

Romper
Just like every other recent weekend, we used every opportunity to take advantage of this warm weather.  This outdoor girl can be instantly cured of any meltdown with a little dose of sunshine.  She loves to to go on walks, to swing, and just like her momma - to simply just sit outside and watch people walk by.

Shirt & Shoes

H&M Dress - No Longer Available
I am convinced our neighbors think I am a lunatic.  Me & mini-me literally sit out there for hours, and I have moved most of my photo sessions to our front lawn since that is where I can actually attempt to keep her still.  I have lost all sense of pride or dignity (although I am pretty sure that happened during labor), and will jump up & down or sing songs to keep her entertained enough to stay in one spot.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.  Usually on those times, I call in my hubby for back-up and have him pull out the faithful "hold her hands while standing" move.

Thanks to my mom, we also found a new strategy for keeping Waverly in one place over the weekend.  Like most new grandmas, Waverly's "glamma" constantly spoils her with new fashions & toys.  Her most recent gift, the Little Tikes 3-in-1 Tricycle actually spoiled me, since it was immediate entertainment.  Although Waverly wasn't sure of it at first ...

Soon enough, was riding in style like the cool chica that she is.

I have a feeling we will be getting a lot of use out of this glamma gift.  The only downside is the fact that it now officially looks like a day care in our front yard, since we don't have a garage for the 4.1 million toys we have for our one child.  I'm telling you ... those neighbors are probably ready for us to officially find a house. :)

Enjoy your week, friends.  We are already dreaming of festive cookouts, red & white striped straws, & patriotic fashions around here.  You know we love a holiday.

  2. I know exactly how you feel! We are always in the front yard, one because it feels like my little one is ONLY happy outside, we only have one car which my husband takes to work so we are extremely tired of inside! I think everyone knows us in our neighborhood wether we know them or not:) You gotta do what ya gotta do!
